1967 GT Fastback Mustang Summary and Highlights You are bidding on a beautiful, show quality, Brittany Blue, 1967 GT Fastback Mustang. This one-of-a-kind Mustang was professionally built for Ford Motor Company in 2007 by the crew at Classic Design Concepts from Novi, Michigan. The car spent the first two years of its life as a show car on tour with Ford Racing Performance Parts and visiting car shows and auto events in many cities across the country. The build on this car was performed with 100% new parts, including a brand new 1967 body from Dynacorn Classic Bodies, Inc. The paint and body work on this car alone had an original cost of approximately $20,000. The retail value of the Ford racing engine used in the build was $9,000. Underneath, the car was painted in the original red-oxide with correct undercoating along the sides. The car was conceived by Ford and built by Classic Design Concepts to create a 1967 classic muscle car with all the modern conveniences to drive in today's world. I have owned classic Mustangs since I was a teenager (coupes, convertibles and fastbacks) and I have dealt with every possible problem imaginable........rusty floor pans, poorly rebuilt motors, impossible electrical problems and leaks of every kind. If you've owned a classic Mustang you know what I'm talking about. Imagine a show quality 1967 GT Fastback with 400+ hp, a five speed transmission, power brakes, power steering, ice cold A/C and an MP3 capable stereo. Imagine a classic Mustang with all new metal, show quality paint, no leaks, a brand new drivetrain, no mechanical issues, no electrical issues.....and instruments that actually work. Imagine a classic Mustang that shifts through five gears with two fingers, stops on a dime, starts with one turn of the key and has the horsepower and torque you truly expect from a muscle car. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind 1967 Mustang that looks original, but drives like new, you have found your car! Some highlights about this car: One-owner car with clear title and 525 original miles; every nut and bolt brand new Brand new Dynacorn body ($16,000 retail value); every panel and door brand new Show quality paint job in a modern interpretation of Ford's 1967 Brittany Blue Ford Racing Boss 347ci crate engine with a Tremec TKO600 5 speed transmission (450 hp @ 6000 rpm, 400 ft/lbs @ 4900 rpm!) SSBC 4-wheel disc brakes RRS power rack & pinion steering Currie 9" rear end with 3.70 gears and Trac-Loc 2-1/2" stainless dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers Vintange Air A/C Premium RetroSound stereo with MP3 playback (MP3 cable for your iPod or MP3 device included) Fox Mustang seats in front and orginal type seat in back; Light Blue Sierra Grain with Parchment Comfort Weave inserts Chassisworks g-Bar Canted 4-Bar Coil-Over Rear Suspension (you can raise or lower the car as you wish) Featured as the cover car in the November 2007 issue of Mustang Monthly. See pics. Featured at SEMA 2007, the 2009 Detroit Autorama and many more events Complete documentation, build photos, 1967 Mustang Title, original Mustang Monthly Magazine, etc. The fit and finish on this car is amazing. The gaps on the car are perfect. The doors close with two fingers. The engine idles perfectly. Every single electrical component on the car has been checked and checked again. No scratches, no dings......brand new glass, brand new chrome, brand new stainless....just a spotless car. I worked with Big Dick's Muscle Cars (they built a 1967 GT 500 for Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins) in South Florida when I first purchased the car. They installed the coil-over rear end for me and looked everything over on the car to be sure she's was ready to be driven like a true muscle car (Classic Design Concepts stayed with rear leaf springs at the request of Ford to keep things looking original, but the car really needed some modern suspension in the rear). Big Dick's finished up with a Mobile One oil change just a few miles ago. This car needs absolutely nothing! Just start and enjoy. Additional Details I am the original owner of the car. Classic Design Concepts was hired by Ford to build the car for SEMA 2007 and to tour with Ford Racing. The car was featured in Mustang Monthly in November 2007 shortly after it was completed. I have a copy of the November 2007 issue in perfect condition. The idea behind this car was to build an original looking 1967 GT Fastback with absolutely all new Ford licensed parts, starting with an officially licensed 1967 Dynacorn body from California-based Dynacorn International. Ford Component Sales also used the car for promotional and advertising materials, some of which I have with the documentation on the car. I also have the official parts listing for the build and it includes the part number and supplier for every single part used on the car.....down to the bolt kits. I have a signed certificate from Dynacorn that includes all the details about the unibody, including the serial number. I also have a signed letter from Ford (on Ford letterhead) that states the objective of the build and provides the details behind this beautiful car. My understanding is that Classic Design Concepts was hand-selected by Ford for this project based on their talent for high-quality custom builds and restorations. As compensation for building the car, the car was returned to Classic Design Concepts after its tour of duty with Ford Racing. The car was used for some additional auto events after being returned to Classic Design Concepts and eventually put up for sale by the owner. I purchased the car the beginning of this year with the intention of driving it on nice weekends and taking it to local classic car shows. I have already put a lot of time and energy into the car, including working with Classic Design Concepts to add back an original back seat with correct seat belts. Ford wanted to use a Shelby deck in the rear of the car for promotional reasons, but a non-Shelby 1967 Fastback just looks much better with the correct back seat (see pics). I also worked with Big Dick's Muscle Cars locally to add the coil-over rear suspension at a cost of about $4,000. They also helped me with a more suitable fuel delivery system for driving.....upgraded fuel lines with a new Holley pressure gauge. I am an absolute perfectionist and I have checked every switch and light bulb on this car several times. The car has been driven over 200 miles since I purchased it to make sure every detail has been worked out on the car. After getting limited use its first two years, I knew it would need a little drive time to work out the details. The car is now 100% ready for spirited driving or quiet car shows. Unfortunately, life has its twists and turns and I now need to part with the car. The serial number of the car is located on two stainless steel tags......one under the hood and one under the driver's side scuff plate....the serial number is MS67FB061204TW. Contact and Payment Information Please give me a call with any questions on this car (or ask through Ebay). I enjoy the car hobby and I am more than happy to answer questions. I will also help arrange for an inspection and work with your shipper to get the car safely loaded for transport. It's fairly stressful buying an expensive car on Ebay, so I would strongly recommend coming to see the car in person. It's better to make a $500 mistake than a $65,000 mistake. I will absolutely let this auction run to the end. The winning bidder will be the new owner of this car. If the car does not hit the reserve, I will be happy to negotiate a price with anyone who is still interested in purchasing the vehicle. I can email additional pics upon request. The car will be available for test drives and inspection during the auction. Call me (Thomas) on my cell phone at 954-465-6933 to discuss the car. The car is located in Parkland, Florida and I will only accept a certified or cashier's check for payment. I have clear title and over $70,000 invested in this car. Classic Design Concepts said they would charge over $100,000 to build a car like this one from scratch. I will need complete contact information and a $2,000 deposit within 5 business days of the end of the auction. You must contact me within 24 hours of auction end by phone to confirm your deposit and payment plans.
