1966 Chevrolet Caprice You are bidding on a nice 1966 Caprice with a factory Big Block and lots of desirable options. This was a southwestern car and came out of Tulsa Oklahoma before it came to NJ. It is a solid car that looks nice, drives incredibly well, and will give you years of fun. The body is nice and straight. The underside is solid. The body panels line up well. The paint was professionally done and is laid on nice and smooth with a shine. It only has minor chips that were touched up. On the lower rear passenger quarter, there is some bubbling. The chrome and trim is original and in good condition with minor scratches and pits. The vinyl top is in nice shape. It has some minor bubbles under it. The interior is in very nice restored condition. She has very rare buckets and console with full gauge package. The seats have been recovered front and rear. The center console is in nice shape and the gauges work. The carpet has been redone. The dash is in nice shape. The headliner was replaced. The door and side panels are in nice shape. There is a Custom Autosound AM/FM radio in the place of the original. This car also had the rare Comfortron Climate Control. The A/C is not working but is all there and everything is hooked up. Another rare feature is the Tilt and Telescopic steering wheel. Inside the dash is an Autometer Tachometer cleanly installed to the right of the speedo. The trunk is detailed back to original. The engine is the original 396/325hp that has been rebuilt stock. Since the block was decked, the numbers are no longer on the front pad. The engine runs out great and has really nice power. Behind this is a TH400 automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear. Power steering and power brakes make this a real easy classic to drive. She rides on American Racing aluminum wheels with 225/70/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials. The suspension rides very nice and this thing drives like a Cadillac. This is a confident driver that you can cruise anywhere. Overall, this is a very nice Caprice with a ton of rare options: 396 Big Block, 12-Bolt, Bucket Seats, Console, Gauges, Comfortron, and Tilt and Telescopic Wheel.
