This is one of less than 3000 ever produced. 68 chevelle ss convertibles were the rarest of all the ss convertibles ever made. The original color is maroon, with parchment (white) interior. It is a true 4sp car with the original tranny still in car (#'s match). The engine is a 396 that belongs to a 69 chevelle ss. It probably needs rebuilding, It has the original rear end in it (12 bolt). power top,and steering. Now the bad news. It really needs all the sheet metal. the cowl, which is the most important is in good shape. the frame is in good shape also. It shows no evidience of collision. No frame kinks/damage etc. Keep in mind, this car is a complete project, and needs alot of work. In the long run, this car restored is in the big money bracket. Maroon with white interior is one of the least produced color combos of all. beautiful when fresh. I am a bodyman by trade, and bought this to restore.. I have been dealt a bad hand in life (divorce/20 years) so this has to go. I had one in highschool, and shopped for 5 years to find it.
