One Owner 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo with original paint and all number-matching components. It was a European delivery car built for the US, and 1979 is arguably the most valuable and classic year for the Turbo. It was the last year of the genuine 930 designation for the US. This particular 930 Turbo Coupe was purchased new by Jewerl Thomas, who played professional football for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and the Kansas City Chiefs over the course of a five-year career. Mr Thomas kept the car in California and stopped driving it in 2002. It is therefore a solid car with no significant rust issues. It was running when he parked it, but it has not been started for several years. His ex-wife was awarded the car when their divorce recenlty became final, and now the car is for sale. The car retains its original California plates, and 80% of the paint is still original. One fender and one door appear to have been repainted years ago. The car will require restoration work. The engine was rebuilt at some point, but the miles on the engine are unknown. It appears to have a stainless steel exhaust system, an expense upgrade. Technical information on the car is lacking because Mr. Thomas and his ex-wife don't communicate. (We had to have a key made because she did not want to ask him for the keys.) We have made no attempts whatsoever to start the car. The engine turns over freely and appears complete.
