Sold new at Veal Volkswagen in Santa Rosa California, it’s always been a California car since the day it was new! A true survivor! Only 118000 miles since new, that’s only an average of 3000 miles a year. One correct repaint in 2006. One owner its first 35 years, never been raised, lowered or hot rodded or altered in any way. 100% stock. Always adult-owned. If you have ever owned or driven one of these neat little cars, you know how much fun they are! Just running errands is a joy! A lot of people restore these cars and some do a good job. But here’s a car that has never needed restoring! Always been kept in good shape and garaged. The glass isn’t even sun faded, proof that it’s been indoors. Even the original Sapphire XV AM radio works perfectly. Runs and drives great, the motor is smooth and powerful and has just received a new carburetor, clutch, muffler, tail pipes and had a full service. Doesn't use or leak oil. The interior was replaced in April of 2009 including the headliner, door panels and carpets so it’s like new.
