1970 CORONET 440 Here is your chance to own a great example of a Solid original California Blue Plate car. And as all of us Mopar enthusiast are well aware, it is very difficult to find a solid 1970 Coronet. This car is virtually rust free and an easy build. It is the ideal car to clone a Super Bee or Coronet R/T or better yet a supercar like the MUTANT BEE. *Coronet Features* -“Right options” - Factory Red muscle car without the rust producing vinyl top - 2 Door Hardtop, Original Fender Tag Reads 48108 148682 050 013 637 FE5 FE5 H2X9 TX9 A23 183402 E44 D31 WH23 G0A 150586 BODY: This car could be ready for paint in no time!!! The doors, hood, quarters, rockers, and passenger fender are all excellent and straight. The hood and trunk are awesome. Just add a set of Ramcharger scoops and be done! The bumpers are all straight with driver quality chrome. The bumper fillers are included and in good shape. The front grills are in good condition needing little attention. The rear quarters are straight and solid, with minimal work required. The rear trim panel is straight and in exceptional shape. The taillight bezels are nice with good lenses. The roof is straight and never had a vinyl top! There is minimal rust around the rear window. All stainless trim is present and in good condition. The windshield is nice, all the windows operate correctly. The rear window is nice. The headlights, trim rings, and bezels are accounted for. I also have a 70 only Power Bulge Hood available at additional cost. The driver’s side fender has a dent that is a simple pull, but does not appear to have any rust in it. INTERIOR: We removed the carpet to show the virtually rust free floor boards, The Interior includes the original dash with all the plastic trim, glove box, and gauges in good condition. We are including a set of hard to find high back buckets and the original auto on the column had been swapped out for a factory floor shift steering column. The original steering column is also included. (A factory console, shifter, and brackets is available for additional cost) The foam on the seats is in excellent condition. It will need the dash pad and radio bezel replaced. The original radio is not included. UNDERCARRIAGE: The frame rails, floor pan, rockers are in exceptional condition. The trunk floor has some minor pin holes, but nothing that warrants replacement. The only notable holes in the floor are ones that were drilled to add the bucket seats. (Originally a black vinyl bench) The K Frame is in Good condition and includes a Front Sway Bar. The front suspension is complete and had manual drum brakes and manual steering. The rear axle is an 8 ¾ with a 3:23 ratio and a 489 case. It features HD 11 drum brakes and HD leaf springs. A driveshaft and yoke are also included. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is very solid. The engine and headlight harness are included with the car and in functional condition. This car is begging for one of our New HEMI Conversions!!!!!! No rust is present, and the hood hinges function well. No engine or transmission is included, but we have many NEW HEMIS available at additional cost. There is no radiator, and the original master cylinder needed rebuilding and was removed. VISION: This vehicle was to be built into one of our Modern Muscle cars, in the same way we have done past projects like the Mutant Bee, and Dark Runner (see www.plumfloored.com) unfortunately the customer lost the funding for the build. We would entertain completing this car for the right buyer. We could put together a complete 6.1 Hemi, 5spd auto, 4 wheel disc brakes, independent rear suspension, abs, traction control, power rack and pinion steering, completely modernized 500 h.p. muscle car for $60k over the sale price including all work required.
