Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1971 Buick Skylark GS 455 street and strip car. This car, if all original, would be very rare; but no build sheet or info to prove it. The previous owner said it was a 4 speed GS 455; which you can see that is was a 4 speed car based on the hole in the floor for the shifter. The original 455 block was said to be bad so he trashed it for the 1970 455 that is now in the car. He also put in a turbo 400 trans with manual valve body. The car now has a locker rear end with 4.11 gears with Moser axles, the 455 is pump gas friendly with 10.5 to 1 compression and arias pistons with part # 250057. It has a Lunati cam—part # 33399 with 541 lift on intake side and 529 lift on exhaust side with duration 253 intake side and 270 on exhaust side @ .050---very streetable cam, also double roller timing chain. The motor also has a 7 quart oil pan and a deep B&M trans pan. It also has Hooker headers with 3.5 inch collectors. The motor has all ARP studs and bolts throughout motor. It has a Kenny Bell cool runner intake, JW torque convertor with a 3600 rpm stall. It has adjustable push rods and Lunati lifters, sorry but not sure about the size of the holley carb, 800 cfm; it also has a MSD 6AL box with rev limiter. The car now has a fiberglass hood and a 4 point roll cage with factory 3 point seat belts. The rear springs have air bags in them, there is a drive shaft loop, it also has an on/off switch under the rear bumper and trunk mounted battery. It has an electric fan with aluminum radiator, electric fuel pump and a trans cooler. It has a full 3.5 inch exhaust with tail pipes from Torque Tech and sounds great. The car features front disc brakes and rear drum. There has been new bumpers front and rear, also new seat covers—carpet and kick panels installed. The car was repainted approximately 3-4 years ago and still looks good. The car shows no sign of rust on the body. It comes with a set of factory rally 15” wheels with newer tires and a set of race wheels with slicks, which are in very good shape. The car has run a best quarter mile with slicks @ 10.92 @ 122 MPH, and 11.6 with street tires. The car still has power brakes but no power steering, but it is still easy to drive and stops well. Will consider trade of equal value.
