Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 59 Studebaker Silver Hawk. Rebuilt straight 6 with 3 speed Overdrive, Hill Holder, radio, heater, electric wipers, clock and more. The car wears a older repaint in the Rare original factory color of Hawaiian green (Turquoise) with white fins that were added later, a very decent paint job, but not perfect. The car runs and drives very nice, the engine has less than 1000 miles as do the brakes, tires and other components and the Overdrive works as it should. Radio, wipers, heater and all lights work as do the backup lights. There are no signs of any rust repair, there are a couple of small bubbles on the deck lid (typical for a Studebaker). All the glass in in great condition, and the chrome is nice . The interior is nice, the seats have been reupholstered and the dash is mint. all gauges work, it needs a speedometer cable but I have one on order that will go with the car. The original headliner has a couple of places where it is starting to come unstitched, but after 50 years we all have that problem :) and there is a new trunk mat and spare cover. The original owners manual is in the glove box and the Hawk comes with a shop manual. Tags are current, it's always been a California car I have tried to honest description of this car, it is not a 100 point show car, but rather a nice combo of an original and restored Silver Hawk in a rare color as most hawks were Red, Black, or White . There is a reasonable reserve , the only reason this car is being sold is I have others and just don't drive the poor thing. PLEASE email me with any questions PRIOR to bidding Now for the boring stuff....Payment is due within one week of auctions closing, car must be picked up within 2 weeks or storage may be charged...if you have less than a feedback score of 10, please email your intention to honor your bid or it may be canceled....non paying bidders will be fed to my Basset Hound
