Vehicle Detail
Don't let the mileage scare you. I just got the truck back from overhaul by Ray Fowler. I have the complete o/h receipt that goes with the truck plus he installed a new radiator with trans cooler and upgraded the cam to a Ford Bronco camshaft for better low end torque and fuel economy. Ray is well know in MD and PA for his 5.0 (302) engine work for race cars and people trucks like yours and mine. It's 4 wheel on the fly drive and works good. I bought the truck to use in my boat repair business to transport boats to my shop BUT the county says "you are not zoned for Marina activities", "you MUST stop your business activities" and bla, bla, bla, "jail". Ok, I stopped. So I'm selling my truck that has a lot invested. Things I know wrong truck are: a small chip is on the windshield right by the driverside windshield wiper blade (see photo, look very close), I had new brakelines, calipers, and pads put on the front, I was told the rear shoes looked ok but in the future I should consider replacing the brakeline crossover line by the rearend, The driverside exterior mirror is cracked (still there but cracked just the same), the exhaust hanger for the cad/converter needs replacement, wiperblades need replacement, right headlight has moisture in it (I was told to remove the bulb and let it dry out or drill a 1/8" hole at the bottom of the lens (we have been having a lot of rain), The interior is real nice but there is some signs of wear on the driverside seat (see photo) NOT torn but you can see where some the the fabric is worn, the right rear tire is worn a little more than the others but the spare is like new so I would swap the tires and used the worn one as a spare. The truck needs a good bath and waxing. All my friends tell me to hang onto the truck ( I think because they want to use it to move their boats and trailers) but without my need for it anymore I have no reason. I have less than 100 miles on the overhaul and it's never run so smooth before. If you are in need of a nice 4x4 this is the one for you. It also has all new radiator hoses and belts. Cruise control and a/c. I just tried the a/c and it is running low. It was working fine when it left for engine o/h. I'll see if I can have it checked this week. I also have a bed cover, it's fiberglass and if you want it you can take it. I didn't like it because all the lifting hardware was missing and it's heavy. It hinged at the front of the bed, so holes for the hinges are there. Dual fuel tanks for those long trips and a low gear switch for pulling power (for you off roaders). If you need give me a call at 240-876-9194 (cell) Please not after 9 pm but anytime after 5:30 am. If you need more photos or want to come see/drive let me know. Also some boats in photos are for sale too. From a telephone request I added a photo of the rebuild invoice from Ray. If you enlarge it you should be able to read everything that was done at his shop. He's not much of an invoice writer but has one of the best speed and rebuild shops in the area. I had a few calls about using my tag to drive home...sorry, no. Bring a temp tag with you. For calls about the windshield. The chip is VERY small and it has a crack of about 7/8" long about 3" from the bottom of the wind right by the tip of the wiperblade. I know it's hard to see in the photo....it's hard to see when your looking for it on the truck but I wanted everyone to know it had one. I'll try to take another photo but it still might not come out to see. RELISTED because of all the phone calls. Rear wheel changed out with like new spare, changing wiper blades tomorrow and hanger tomorrow, light lens drying out right now. Call only with questions.....not to complain that the listing ended too soon....If you want it you have to BID or BUY. I just called the local repair shop on checking out the a/c. They are still backed up with work because of the heat wave we are having and can't get to it so it's as is but I can tell you it was working fine when it went for the engine so it can't be much. We have already checked all the connections and fuses. It has gas but the clutch will not engage.
