NO RESERVE SALE 1956 Ford F-100 Short Bed Pickup Up for sale; is this Beautiful, Metalic Grean short bed pickup. I bought This Truck out of Texas a while back for my Son to drive to the local car shows. The Idea behind it was to spend more time with him, and he would get into the hobby. That was good for about 4 months then his interest started to dwindel. This truck now sits in the garage for weeks and months and he does not even look at it. So it's time for it to find a new home, where someone will enjoy and use it. HERE IS WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE TRUCK. THE EXTERIOR OF THIS FORD IS EXTREMELY SMOOTH AND STRAIGHT. I HAVE NOT SEEN A BETTER LOOKING OR STRAIGHTER F-100. THIS TRUCK HAS NO WAVES, FLAWS, ORANGE PEAL, OR RIPPLES.IT HAS LASER STRAIGHT PANNELS AND BED SIDES. THE EMBLEMS WERE SMOOTHED, TO ADD THE HOT ROD LOOK. THE GREEN COLOR IS A COLOR FORD USED ON IT'S TAURUS LINE,IT'S A BASE COAT CLEAR COAT AND IT LOOKS AWESOME ON THE MIRROR SMOOTH PANELS. THIS TRUCK STARTED OUT AS A TEXAS DRY DESERT TRUCK. SO IT WAS A SOLID RUST FREE TRUCK. CAB, CAB CORNERS, FLOORS, DOORS AND ROCKER ARE RUST FREE AND I COULD NOT FIND ANY EVIDENCE OF PATCH WORK. THIS IS WHY THIS TRUCK IS SO ARROW STRAIGHT. PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE. THE DRIVE TRAIN IS A LATE MODEL 302 BACKED BY A C6 TRANSMISSION. GM CHEVROLET S-10 FRONT CLIP WAS ADDED. IT NOW SPORTS, DISC BRAKES, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, TILT COLUMN. THE FRONT SUSPENSION HAS BEEN REBUILT WITH NEW BUSHINGS. THIS TRUCK RIDES TRUE AT ANY SPEED. AND HAS THAT IN THE WEEDS LOOK. IT CORNERS LIKE IT WAS ON RAILS. THE RIMS ARE TORQUE THRUST WHEELS. THIS TRUCK GETS PLENTY OF THUMBS UP AND LOOKS ANYWHERE IT GOES. MAY IT BE A CAR SHOW OR YOUR LOCAL SUPERMARKET. TRUCK WAS A REGULAR AT THE LOCAL CAR SHOWS AND HAS WON SEVERAL PRIZES. WE TOOK IT TO DAYTONA BEACH, FL. IN MARCH FOR THE CAR SHOW. THAT WAS A 940 MILE ROUND TRIP WITHOUT ANY GLITCHES OR HEADACHES. IF YOU SHOULD HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS TRUCK PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME AT OLDCARTRADER@AOL.COM OR CALL ME AT (786)-314-2744 8AM-9 PM EASTERN TIME ( MIAMI, FLORIDA ) ASK FOR BUTCH. THIS TRUCK IS LOCATED IN THE MIAMI AREA INSPECTIONS ARE WELCOMED . PLEASE NO TEST PILOTS OR TIRE KICKERS. THIS TRUCK IS UP FOR SALE WITH A NO RESERVE. HIGHEST BIDDER AT END OF AUCTION WILL OWN THIS TRUCK. Here is a little on the 1956 F-100. Ford emphasized safety in the 1956 Ford F-100 pickup, with such standard features as an energy-absorbing steering wheel and double-grip door latches. Also new was a 12-volt electrical system. Styling changes introduced with the 1956 Ford F-100 pickup included another new grille, fashionable wraparound windshield, and optional wraparound back window (just $16 extra). The dashboard, with its car-derived hooded instrument panel, was a neat if spartan affair. The year's major option, as in 1955, was the Custom Cab package comprising 14 "luxury" accessories and snazzier trim. The pickup's base price had risen considerably, to $1,580. That sounds like pocket change by today's standards, but customers thought it was expensive in 1956. The 1956 Ford F-100 pickup also had a new optional V-8, bored and stroked to 272 cid as in Ford cars. Rated at a potent 167 horsepower, it made the 1956 F-100 the most powerful pickup in Ford history. Sales sagged in 1956 generally, and only 137,581 pickups were built. Still, Ford held a healthy 27 percent of the truck market. In 1957, a brand new design came along -- lower, sleeker, and available with flush-fender pickup box (Styleside) for the first time. Somehow, it wasn't the same, and countless fans were sorry to see the 1956 Ford F-100 pickup go. Collectible Pluses of the 1956 Ford F-100 Pickup Strong collector interest Reliability Ready supply of inexpensive replacement parts A mid-1950s truck with full-length running boards OK, NOW FOR BUSINESS STUFF. I reserve right to end this listing at anytime. This truck is advertised for sale in South Florida. Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract.
