Vehicle Detail
Make, model, sub model, and year Brand New Custom Lamborghini Diablo Style Replica Engine type and transmission Generation II 5.7 liter Chevy 350 cubic inch Vortec engine (which produces about 330 horsepower) with a manual Porsche transmission. The heads were shaved, ported, and given a 3-angle valve job. Screw-in studs, high tension valve springs, and Scorpion 1.6:1 performance roller rocker arms were then installed. This engine has flat top pistons, a mild performance Clevite camshaft- .460 lift, advertised duration is 291 int. and 287 exh., with hydraulic roller lifters. Polished tall race valve covers w/ K&N breathers were installed. Vehicle condition for the interior, exterior, and engine Everything is new and custom built. The exterior paint color is Lamborghini Blu Ely Metallic. It has a polished Sanden 508 A/C compressor w/polished aluminum mounting brackets and serpentine pulley set from Summit Racing. The wheels are from NAERC, 3-piece, 18 inch, completely polished with Pirelli P-Zero tires 235/40 ZR18 on front and 335/30 ZR18 on rear (14 inches of each tire's width is on the ground in rear). These tires get turned by a 5-speed Porsche 915 transaxle, rebuilt and beefed up a little, with an added positive-traction differential. Blue glow-lights are installed on both sides beneath car. Power switch on console allows for continuous glow operation and it's also tied into alarm system to operate glow for 30 seconds upon arming or disarming. Has a removable Porsche Targa type top. All factory and factory-style stickers, emblems, and lights were ordered through North American Exotic Replica Cars ("NAERC") in Canada. Interior and comfort features Interior is white leather and carbon-fiber. The seats have black trim. The power windows are operated from the center console, as are the electric door release buttons. Fog lights, headlights, emergency flashers, parking lights, glow lights underneath, interior light, and air conditioning are also all push-button activated from center console. New air conditioner. All VDO gauges with Lambo bull emblems, including a 260mph speedo!! The stereo/CD player is a Sony Xplod CDX-GT300 52W X 4 with remote control. It powers the pair of 5 1/4" JBL GTO series door speakers and then feeds a Kicker 200W X 2 amplifier which powers a pair of SWS Earthquake 10" subwoofers. Crystal clear, undistorted sound is a must for these cars! Any notable additions or modifications to the vehicle Custom tubular chassis has a Pontiac Fiero floor pan, steering column, pedals, heater box, fuel tank, and steering rack. NOTHING else in this car is Fiero. Custom tubular suspension system from NAERC sports a C-5 corvette brake system that has 13" cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors, steel-braided brake hoses, and a Wilwood adjustable brake proportioning valve. The Corvette brake calipers were machined and repainted to appear as Brembo calipers. There are also adjustable coil-over shocks at all four wheels. We chose an Edelbrock Performer Series Air-Gap aluminum intake to accept the Holley spread-bore 700cfm performance 4-barrel carburetor. It is a dual-line, double-pumper with mechanical secondaries. A Carter electric fuel pump feeds this 4-barrel's appetite. Inline is an adjustable Mallory fuel pressure regulator with pressure gauge. It has a Mallory performance distributor with numbered 8.8mm Phillips racing plug wires and AcDelco rapid fire plugs. The coolant system is Y-piped out to the correctly located twin rear radiators for efficient cooling. It is a closed cooling system with aluminum tank and overflow catch in rear of vehicle. The entire exhaust system was custom made by John Gifford Racing. Full length custom headers to Flowmaster dual-in, dual-out series 80 muffler piped out to baffled, twin chrome exhaust tips. Entire exhaust system is wrapped with Thermo-Tec to cut down engine bay heat. The clutch plate is Kevlar with a high performance pressure plate and throw-out bearing. We used a Hi-Torque gear reduction starter since the Porsche starter won't handle the compression of the 350 engine. Shifter box and custom shift cables are from Renegade Hybrids in Las Vegas. Also from them, are the special clutch and flywheel components and the tranny-to-engine adapter plate. We set up a CNC hydraulic clutch system so the clutch pedal would be a little easier to deal with. The axles were custom built by a local machine shop, rated for up to 600 horsepower! The alarm system is a Prestige Platinum by Audiovox, with 2 keychain remotes (for safety, remote start has been disabled due to manual transmission). Alarm remotes, electric, and manual door release buttons will all activate window roll-down to raise doors. After closing doors, alarm remote will activate window roll-up upon system arming. Alarm system's "starter-kill" circuit is active when armed and/or externally tripped, the car will NOT start until alarm is reset (disconnecting battery will not even reset starter-kill). Ownership history I am the original owner and custom designed this replica to NAERC Standards.
