Vehicle Detail

1993 Geo Metro Convertible, manual 5-speed with the standard 1.0 liter 3-cyl. engine. This is my summer fun-in-the-sun car...it was religiously garaged in the winter and NEVER taken out until June every year, hence, there is no body rust. Control arms are solid, frame is solid. Car runs perfectly, maintained by me, a Metro enthusiast. I followed all the GeoMetroForum (a site for metro fans) and owners manual service recommendations, culled from years of experience:Oil changes every 2,000 milesCleaned the EGR valve regularlyChanged the timing belt at 90,000 milesRegular fluid changes (transmission, brake, differential, coolant)Tire rotations on scheduleAll other required service performed.Excellent 40-plus mileage. Shifts smoothly. Convertible top is in mint condition, no rips or tears, goes up and down without a hitch. Interior is also in good condition, dash is good and I have the seats covered with expendable seat covers. No A/C, of course. Blaupunk cassette stereo. Exterior body shows no major dents, just lots of door dings over the years and flaking paint on the front bumper. All electrical works well. There are only 3 things broken on the car- passenger side door handle is broken but still works (and I have a replacement in the glove box that I never got around to installing), trunk gas cylinder is out of change so you have to hold the truck open, and the right rear speaker is missing the cover. That's it. I will also include service literature (manuals) with the sale. When the car was garaged I always removed the plugs, sprayed the cylinders with oil preservative, trickle-charged the battery, put Sta-bil in the gas tank, and put it up on blocks. Can you tell I loved this car?! I had never considered selling it, but now I have a family and I need cars that can handle a car seat, so there it is. $300 deposit from the winning bidder within 48hrs, balance on pickup. On Jun-29-10 at 20:44:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Good questions I've received so far, so here is some additional info:horn works, no windshield cracks, seatbelts function, windows roll upStandard 13" tiresAll manual- no power locks or windows, thank goodness. No leaks, no smoke, no misses- perfect running conditionYes, I love Metros...and you will too, once gas prices go up again as they most certainly will. I'll add more to this if I get more questions or think of anything I missed.
