Vehicle Detail
I am selling this 1983 Mercedes 380SEC with only 131,000 original miles, nice cold air conditioning and NO RESERVE! High bidder will take this car home! Here's more about this car. I have owned this car 3 different times! It's just a nice old Mercedes. The first time I sold the car it was to a friend. He was hit in the passenger side and the car was declaired totaled. It was not a bad accident and I am surprised they totaled the car. I saw it. Anyways the car was then sold to somebody and they had the car fixed. They did a very nice job fixing the car. The color matches perfect and the car looks just as it did. The car came up for sale at a dealer only auction and I purchased the car again!! It has a rebuilt/salvage title from the accident and transfers just like any other title. I really liked the interior and the way the motor and tranny worked so I purchased the car again! I then sold it to another friend. He owned the car for years. Along the way he did the following to the car and spent a fortune. He did head gaskets, lifters and all new belts. Also the car is a double timing chain with new guides and so on! He loved the car and wanted it right. He came by my shop and mentioned that he wanted to sell it for a 4 door car for his family. I purchased it again!!!! I have driven the car now for a few months. It drives very nice as it always has. I think that the idle when cold could be a bit better since it runs a bit rough when it starts. No big deal but it allows it to run rich in the beginning of the starting process. I think this car be dialed in by a mechanic with a scanner and an adjustment of the lean/rich screw on the distributor. The car runs strong. The transmission is shifting through all of the gears just as it should. The air conditioning works. The heating system works. The power sunroof works and it moves a bit slow sometimes. ALL of the windows work althouth the back drivers side one needs some help moving back up in the first few inches. The car has a brand new Mercedes battery just put in a few weeks ago. The radio is a cd player and the power antenna works properly. The power locks work and the rear defogger works too. The cruise is not very reliable. The horn sounds like a sick duck coughing with a rag in it's mouth. I think it's funny but not very effective. The wipers work. The lights work. The fog lights work. Lots of money has been spent doing the motor job. The suspension is nice and tight. The rear tires are low on tread and the front ones are low but so so. The exhaust is all there. The brakes work well and are 4 wheel disk brakes. The leather seats are really nice for the age. The carpets are clean and fresh. No smoking or pets in this car that I ever knew of. The car has new style 8 hole wheels that are nice and wide so the car handles GREAT! You will really like the attention this car gets. The rust on the rear fenders was covered up by chrome fender trims. I took them off to show all of the bubbles. I tossed them because they were not bright anymore anyways and was going to have the rust fixed. The front header under the hood was painted up to cover some surface rust as seen. All of my pictures show the bad and the good. The car is parked untill the new owner picks it up. I don't have the time to do the project. I am selling this car with a NYS title that states rebuilt/salvage and this title transfers ownership just like any other title. Buy this car and use it for special use or occasions. It can be put on antique insurance since it is 27 years old. That insurance is less than $100 a year full coverage (with a good history driver). Don't miss this car because it really is no reserve and going to a new home. Paypal deposit of $250 to secure my end of the deal due within 24 hours please once you win. I have no extra fees in my auctions that you pay. I have a great shipper that has shipped 75 cars for me. Great price and dependable. Quick too. Good luck!
