This is a HIGH mileage vehicle, while my description below may seem negative, I am simply trying to point out everything that is wrong so that buyer is not surprised. As mentioned in the title, this car had the engine replaced at apporximately 120,000 miles. I bought the car on eBay with the bad engine, if you are familiar with these engines, you know that timing belt inspection and replacement is critical, the first owner did not know this and the belt let go and scattered the engine. The current engine was purchased as a new Longblock assembly and has 150,000 miles on it. Here's a breakdown of the vehicle: Engine and Drivetrain Engine runs fine Check engine light has been on since I've owned the vehicle, codes read Glow Plugs. I've replaced all glow plugs but error persists, probably glow plug wiring harness. Didn't care, it always starts. No engine cover, was not on vehicle when I bought it. Timing belt was replaced about 70,000 miles ago with a 100K belt. I did this myself, included water pump, belt, tensioner, etc. These items should always be replced when performing the timing belt replacement. Belt is in fair condidtion now, I see some shavings inside the cover, but this would be normal for 70K on a belt. Will need to be replaced soon. Turbo was replaced by dealer for original owner. Air conditioning pump replaced at around 200K. Transmission has never been touched, clutch replaced at time of engine replacement. Front halfshafts have never been touched. Suspension Front suspension is fairly tight, but I do hear something clunking when I go over large bumps at low speed, never looked into it. Shocks and struts were replaced with factory take offs at 175K. Interior Interior is fairly clean for a car with 270K on it. Stains on headliner and A pillars (see pictures) Glovebox hinge broken (Typical) Front drink holder broken (Typical) Rear drink holder broken (Typical) Rear package tray is sun faded. Radio face is broken, radio still works, but half of the buttons are missing. Body General appearance is fair/poor. Collision with deer replaced front and passenger side with fresh paint, looks good in general other than one good scratch down this side. Driver side is rough, rust on rocker panel, dent in rear door, rust on front fender. Touch up marks from previous owner. (See pictures) Driver side mirror is broken off and has scuffed some paint on drivers door, I have the mirror cover, but the aluminum bracket is broken (See pictures) Rear bumper is rough, previous owner lived in Boston, parallel parking took it's toll on the bumper cover. (See pictures) Dent in trunk lid near TDI logo is starting to rust (See pictures) Crack in windshield on driver side, comes from A pillar 6 inches then goes up another 6 inches. Wheels and Tires Wheels are in bad cosmetic shape, I got lazy and let the brake dust eat the finish up (Hey, just being honest! See pictures) One wheel may be bent, it contantly makes one of the tires wear funny, this tire needs replacing now. Even with all of the items stated above, this car goes down the road. The last day I drove it, I drove my typical trip to work totaling 100 miles round trip. I would not hesitate to drive this car for the same trip. I am selling this car since I have upgraded to the newer model. It is routine for this car to get 600+ miles to the tank using the venting technique, it averages 45-47 MPG with me driving it 65-70 miles per hour everywhere I go!
