1982 JEEP CJ5. 4-cyl, 4-speed. Runs good. I like to be upfront about any known problems with anything I sell or trade. The front transfer case yoke has 2 broken U-joint bolts that needs replaced. I did verify the yoke was turning when locked in 4wd. The previous owned broke a U-joint and before he could get it stopped, it snapped a couple retaining bolts on the transfer case where the U-joint bolts to it. He did put two new U-joints in the driveshaft though. It smokes a little when running but it could need the carb adjusted, it smells like fuel and is bluish. There is no top for the Jeep. The gas gage doesn't work but all the other gages do. The steering is sloppy - typical older jeeps! The body and frame has some rust but nothing severe. The body filler looks terrible but hides pretty good with the flat black paint. The interior has been painted with bed liner paint. The jeep runs good and is fun to drive. Would make a great trail rig or weekend toy. I wouldn’t make it a daily commute vehicle if I had many miles to drive. It doesn’t have a radio or a back seat. The mud tires are wore pretty good but the back two still have descent tread. I do have the spare tire and the mount for the back. I have access to email only. I was hoping to get the bucket seats completely bolted down and the new seat belts put it before the auction ends but looks like I might not get that done.
