Vehicle Detail
This is a one of a kind Studebaker. The Car was commissioned for the revisions to O'Chapps Body Works in South Bend Indiana. The car was built sometime in 1959 or 1960. The nickname of T-Bird Hawk came from the top that was modified to fit the car. The Basic body is a 1954 Studebaker Champion. You can see the 56 Hawk influence by the taillights, park lights and hood. The dash is as far as I can tell stock. I'm not sure but I believe the trunk lid was made from a Ford hard top convertible. There remains on the dash a plaque that reads "Made for Studerbaker by O'Chapps Body Works South Bend Indiana. There is some history of this car on the Studebaker Club Site. The car is basically complete. It appears to have the original Studebaker 54 model engine. There is rust through in the floorboards and trunk. The outer rust you see is mostly surface rust with some rust in the rocker panels. This car is not driveable and does nor run.No title, but will provide a Georgia registration and bill of sale. $500.00 deposit required in 48 hours at end of auction. The balance is due in ten days, no exceptions. Car is sold as is, no waranties either expressed or implied. This description is true to the best of my knowledge. Call Joe @ 706 373 1639 or email through ebay with any questions. This is a no reserve auction. Thanks for looking at my auction. Joe
