For Sale: 1965 Pontiac Tempest Custom (Wagon) Very clean restored 1965 Tempest Custom Station Wagon/1971 GTO combination: new paint, new interior including power bucket seats, roof rack, power windows, power rear window. No rust. Drive train/suspension : 1971 GTO transplant; Low production YC code GTO 455 engine, with Automatic (TH400), air conditioning, power brakes, power steering. The Tempest drives great and can easily be driven to another state. The Tempest Custom is rare as is the 71' 455 engine. I purchased the car over a year ago at an auction, and cannot work on it any longer due to injury. I have replaced the exhaust and had the carburetor sent off and rebuilt. Other than that it has not required much. The car has its quirks and a couple things need to be done: -The right front passenger seat has some type of over spray from something brown (small specks, I have included in the pictures) -The rear left door does not a have a handle, the hole is underneath and the I do have the handle; the interior was just done over it. May not be considered a problem, but worth noting. (preference of previous owner) -the center lower gauges also need to be completely installed, currently they are installed but not connected to the engine. as well as the tach.
