Vehicle Detail

If you are looking for a great project car have I got the one for you. I'm letting go of a very good 54' bug that I absolutely hate to give up. To let you know up front I have cut this car in half due to a bad roof which you can see in the pictures someone tried to hide a big boo boo with a lot of bondo and in my book thats not acceptable. So I travelled 1300 miles to get another 54' bug for replacing the roof ( I'm a purist, can't help myself). Anyway I kept the front of the car because it's never been crunched and it has the factory stamp and the vin plate that match the chassis. I made a template for the window and painstakingly cut the car at the "A" post and at the heater channel. I have the joints tacked because the car is ready for media blasting, this way you can get the media out of the heater channels. The pan is in great condition. The extra hole in the dash next to the left of the speedometer is where a dealer installed an oil temperature gauge which I have. The rear apron was already grafted on when I got the car, fortunately its a H pattern and the replacement panel on the drivers side. So here are the parts I have that go with it: donor car with rag top frame all the original glass (except new windshield) pedal assembly fuel tank w/ original cap and reservoir gas heater both ribbed doors original speedometer ashtray and glovebox door ragtop assembly original door and window handles leather seats front and back steering wheel and column blaupunkt radio vw hubcaps new tires (75 miles on them) semaphores the original 4-tab hood W decklid 40 horse engine (turns easy) tow bar extra H pattern apron dash knobs brake fluid reservoir windshield wiper motor window regulators orginal transmission oil temperature gauge The vin for this car is 1-0669975 the body and the chassis match and the stamp in the trunk is 596 255 If you have any question you can call me 719-306-1952 Once the auction is over I will require a certified $500.00 deposit within 72 hours. Buyer is responsible for all shipping. Good luck.....
