Vehicle Detail
This one’s gonna hurt. A bunch. If you're looking for the finest R Class available at a ridiculous price, look no further. You've found it. You’re looking at an absolutely spotless and fully loaded 39k mile Obsidian Black 2006 R500 belonging to my fiancée – we got her a new E350 a few months ago - she fell in love with a white one with the black glass roof and just had to have it. I learned a long time ago that if mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy, so of course now it’s in my garage. Anyhow, I went along with the idea because I love this thing and I figured I’d just sell my ML 500 and keep this for myself - this car was over $70k new and we’re fanatical owners and don't have any kids so it is literally still like a brand new car. On top of that I had all of the windows tinted, put $3500 worth of 22” Avarus wheels with polished stainless lips (made by Savini) and BF Goodrich G Force T/A KDWs (285/35-22’s to protect the ride quality), and added a set of factory AMG pedals and so not only do I have a fortune in this thing, but it drives incredibly and looks truly awesome. It gets compliments everywhere we go every time we take it out of the garage. Long story short, I’m self employed, I just sold a bunch of my bikes to raise funds for an opportunity that came my way, and now my business has sustained a couple of hits, so as much as I hate to do it, I have to find this baby a new home. I’m pricing it to sell it quick, as it’s now causing me extreme discomfort to continue to pay for both the new E Class and the $800 a month for this car. Not fun. In fact I’m selling it for very little more than we owe on it. As the saying goes, my loss is your gain. We bought the car in June of 07 with 7k miles on it from Mercedes of South Orlando - it only has 39k miles on it now as we have a number of cars and this was "her" car. I’ve included a couple of pictures of the window sticker so you can see for yourself how loaded it truly is – the original price of the car was $70,075.00 plus tax and license. It is extremely rare in that it was ordered from the factory with the AMG Sport Package. For those of your that aren’t Mercedes aficionados, a very limited number of R Class Mercedes have it – it came standard on the R63 AMG version, which is an absurdly rare vehicle - only about 40 exist in the United States (which, while we’re on the subject, is why I decided to have a little fun and rebadge it as an R63 with factory Mercedes badges – it can be quite a conversation starter). It has the full AMG exterior styling package, and came with 19” AMG wheels, which I will include with the purchase of the car (they cost about $600 apiece if you went to buy them from Mercedes). Here’s a more complete list of the options this car was ordered with: AMG Sport Package - $4200.00 Premium Package (Full Entertainment Package, Panoramic Roof, Power Tailgate, and DVD Navigation.) - $4400.00 Rear Seat Entertainment Package – Includes 2nd Row Center Console, 2 Flat Panel Screens behind the Front Seat Headrests - $3000.00 Comfort Package - $625.00 Rear Side Airbags - $385.00 Sirius Satellite Radio - $500.00 Obsidian Black Paint - $690.00 The list of features this car comes with is absurdly long (again, see the window sticker) – from heated seats and iPod/MP3 input to Auto Up/Down for all four windows to the load leveling rear suspension, it has everything you could ever want in a car. If you would like the complete list, email me and I’ll send it to you. Listing them all here would be overkill. As some of you may know, MBZ in fact no longer offers the R500 (which has a 5.0 liter 8 cylinder engine) – only the R350 is still available, which is a 3.5 liter six cylinder. Ridiculous motor in a car this size considering the difference in MPG is not significant. They’re not making them anymore, and this is arguably the nicest low mile R500 in existence, which is why it’s killing me to sell it. Don’t miss this opportunity – if you saw the car in person, you’d think I was a fool for selling it for the price I've listed it for. You're getting a car that cost over $70k just 39k miles ago for well less than half it's original cost. If you're within driving distance, you’re more than welcome to come see it – I have no doubt that the first person to see it will buy it. Period. It’s that nice. There are but 2 flaws on the whole car – she got too close to a curb and put a very mild scuff on the edge of the left rear wheel (not something you’d notice from 5 feet away), and then somehow managed a few months later to put a minor ding in the lip of the right rear wheel (again, nothing particularly significant – see the pictures). That’s it. The car is virtually perfect – never been in an accident, all original paint with not a single nick or ding, and the interior literally looks like it’s never been sat in – in fact the opaque blue plastic film is still on the chrome sill you see when you open the rear tailgate. It has new OEM Rotors and Brake Pads. It’s been meticulously maintained by MBZ of Orlando. We have it washed by a mobile detailer every Tuesday morning, and waxed every 90 days. We’re definitely the kind of people you want to buy a car from. Some call us anal. I prefer meticulous. You decide. On a side note, as I was expecting to keep it, I bought a set of cross drilled rotors (they’d look great stickin’ out from behind those wheels) along with a set of Brabus springs and lowering links for it, neither of which ever got put on the car. I’ll make you a great deal on ‘em if you want ‘em. They’d lower the car about 1.5 inches which would make it look even more astounding, along with further improving the handling with minimal impact on ride quality. Google Brabus stuff and you’ll see I don’t fool around when it comes to my cars. That’s about all there is to say – I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Somebody is going to steal a truly spectacular car. Check my feedback - I represent my stuff accurately, and I have cool stuff. Feel free to call with any questions – my name is Bill, and my number is 352.751.4878 during the day, EST. Since I have your attention, if you’re in the market for a rare and beautiful motorcycle that’s also priced to sell, I’ve got an equally spotless black Indian Chief (1 of 1100 made) listed as well. Check it out. Good luck, and happy bidding.
