1989 Chevrolet Scottsdale 1500 2WD Truck Up for auction is my old truck. This is my 1989 Chevy truck. This is a nice 2wd with an 8 foot bed. The truck is solid and goes down the road nice and smooth. The reason im selling the truck is it needs an engine. The engine blew due to being over worked. What happen was the transmission blew 3rd gear so i only had 1st 2nd and reverse. Well i decided to drive it home in second gear. I roasted the trans and the motor was fine when i got home. I replaced the transmission with a nice low mine 80K out of a 1992 Chevy van. The truck ran smooth. Shifted great and ran nice. Well while going down the freeway hauling a trailer the oil pump quit and the motor blew. Oil everywhere... So thats where she sits. The truck now needs a new engine. The body is nice. It does have some rust but is in pretty nice shape. The box is beat up and it has been used for a work truck. The interior is nice. Clean. See pictures. There is some surface rust underneath but its not bad. The cab need 2 new rubber cab mounts in the back. (Thats why its leaning in the picture). I dove it like this and it never posed a problem. The tires are fair. There work truck tires. All headlights do work up front and will be installed when sold. The truck will also be cleaned and washed. All crap removed from the box. All features of the tuck work and work good. This has a nice reese hatch and wiring. All Breaks work and are solid. The trans is strong and has NO leaks. The truck just needs an engine! Thats It... The engine will start and run if you hold the gas down. ITs loud and rattles like hell. Might be enough power to get it on the trailer. The battery will be included but is currently dead. So you will need to jump it so start it.
