Here's my "find of the week": a 2004 Ford Powerstroke Diesel, Crew Cab--with 4-wheel drive, long bed, white-over-tan--for under $10k!! You've got to see it and drive it to appreciate the awesome payload and towing capacity of this truck, and there's nothing to not like about this one--everything you look for is here! I've checked out the 4x4--operates perfectly. There's no blow-by, and the body and interior, while not "like new," are not what I'd call "rough" for a truck that's obviously not new. There is a scratch here and there, and one small rip in the "climb-in" spot on the driver's seat, but the tires are recently added, the engine compartment is clean, and this monster brakes, shifts, and runs like a 30k mile Powerstroke. I personally had it idle for more than 20 minutes--the A/C will freeze you out, the seats are clean and fully adjustable, and the bed itself is clean, un-wrecked or -dented (VERY rare on a used diesel), with vinyl bedliner still intact. The truck also has black vinyl steps already installed. The soundsystem sounds excellent, and ALL CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY FEATURES OPERATE LIKE NEW. Belts, mirrors, all A/C and heating controls, locks, windows... I also took the time to get it up to highway speed for a few miles, and believe me: if you love the sound of a real-live Ford Powerstroke diesel, this one will impress you. And, here's the kicker for someone who sees a LOT of preowned diesel trucks: when I first turned on the stereo, it was tuned to a local Tejano station, which tells so much...I'd guess that the previous owner, by his taste in music, used this truck for work, treated it well and kept it properly maintained (sticker on the windshield recommends oil-change at 228k miles--6,000 miles from now), and probably hated to see it go--and it IS a trade-in from a local dealership in Decatur, Texas.
