Vehicle Detail
I bought this Bronco 17 years ago back in 1993. I bought it from the orginal owner who had moved to Ohio from Colorado. It was in great shape when I got it, but being a Ford kind of guy I just couldn't leave it alone. So my project began. I did little stuff at first then after about 7 years I did it all. Took the engine and transmission out. Took the top off, took the doors off, the hood off, tailgate off pulled out the seats, carpet, everything. Painted the body with the correct color code using Dupont Base coat, Clear Coat system using Glamour Clear. The top is painted the orginal shade but it Dupont Tri color with pearl. The tailgate is a new OEM Ford, all weatherstripping was replaced. I bought a brand new 5.0 L GT-40 SVO part number M-6007-B51 ( 320 Horsepower crate Motor Aluminum Clylinder Heads, Roller Cam .498 Lift ) Motor from my local Ford Dealer and put in it. I added a mallory comp 9000 distributor with hyfire ignition box. Elelbrock intake with a Holley 650 Double Pumper with manual secondary, March Aluminum Pulleys, Hooker headers with Supertrapp mufflers ( Sounds Great ) Remember the was the last year Broncos were made without catalytic converters. ( $5000.00 ) I have driven this truck 27,000 miles since the engine and transmisson was installed. It not only runs good but it is a realiable driver. I put it in several car shows, won a few trophys but thats not really my thing. The transmission was send out and completely rebuilt, installed a shift kit that will chirp the tires in second gear guaranteed, installed a new torque converter and a B & M flex plate also. ( $ 800.00 ) The rearend has a DETROIT LOCKER ( part number M-4204- D28 ) with a NODULAR CASE using the fatory Ford 4.11 gears. Used all new bearings on the pinion and also all new axle bearings and seals. ( $1200.00 ) UPGRADED to 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES. Used Tom's Broncos kit with all new spindles all new bearings, and new warn hubs. ( $1100.00 ) This is the Ranger model of the Bronco's. Take a look at the window sticker this truck was loaded with all the options. I think it had everything available. It does have the Dual gas tanks ( The reserve tank was replaced and the sending unit was replaced also. Both tanks and guages work perfectly. It has power steering also. I have all the receipts for everything I have listed. You will get all of them so there is no doubts of what you have. I have the original box and paperwork for the Detroit Locker also. I have the original window sticker to the truck, it is in perfect shape. I had it laminated before it got damaged. The original owner gave it to me when I bought it. This truck has always been in a garage. It has never sat outside not one night ! If you have any question just email me and I will answer back quickly. Or you can call me at 859-750-7467. I am located in the Northern Kentucky area. You can hear this Bronco running if you like I put a short Video on youtube not so long ago.
