Vehicle Detail

This is a 1965 Mustang project car that has been garaged for the last 15 years. A two-owner car with COMPLETE paperwork dating back to the original purchase order, window sticker and owner’s manual, this rare ’65 Mustang has the following original equipment: 289 4V A Code V8 with 135,000 miles,Borg Warner 4-Speed manual transmission, Disc brakes, A/C unit, Rally Pac, Handling Package and All original tinted windows - intact and in excellent shape. This Mustang has the Shelby Drop front end upgrade, which lowers the front end. Last driven in 1995, the car was garaged when it needed transmission work. At the time, the engine ran, but it has been dry-docked ever since. It’s currently in a very small garage and therefore difficult to photograph, but I’ve tried to show the moderate front-end damage as well as I can. Overall, the Mustang is in excellent (if dusty) shape for a project car. Additionally, after rolling off the line in San Jose in April of ‘65, this has been a So Cal car it’s entire life. Considering this Mustang’s unique combination of features and comprehensive provenance, it’s a great opportunity for someone who is willing to put some effort into restoring it to its former, road ripping glory. The car has just been completely inspected and, aside from slight rust in the (few) areas where there is body damage, there is very little rust anywhere on the car. I have included pictures of the floorboard, inside trunk (with original liner) and the area under the right front beneath the body damage. It has been a California garage dweller its entire life, rarely spending a night outdoors. Also, all the lines on the car are clean and straight. I’ll answer any questions to the best of my ability. This vehicle is non operational. Pickup in Los Angeles must be arranged by buyer. Deposit is non-refundable. Thanks for looking. On Jun-12-10 at 14:24:07 PDT, seller added the following information: There is also a sizable dent in the right side rear quarter panel which is not in the photographs. I'll try and upload a picture this weekend.
