I have an exceptionally clean 1981 Eldorado. It came out of an Estate of a Doctor in Granite City IL. It was a one owner car with 58,200 actual miles when I purchased it in October of 2009. It was garaged it's entire life. The interior is in amazing shape. The factory sunroof works perfectly. The Radio and CB work. Windows, Locks, Tilt, and Alarm all work. The seats work in most directions but the switches could be cleaned or replaced as from lack of use the front tilt doesn't work on driver's side. The seat is comfortable for me so I haven't bothered fixing it. The tires all have less than 1500 miles on them. The car was stored basically from 1995 until I purchased it in October. Fresh gas, a battery, a starter, the tires, an oil change, right front ball joint, new brake hoses and front brakes and she was road ready. I've put about 950 miles on it since I did those things in March and it runs like a champ. I detailed the car and it looks good, It is not perfect. The plastic extensions need replaced. AC compressor was replaced because the clutch was locking up. AC has been charged and does blow cold. Heat is hotter than any car I have ever owned including the 7 other Eldorados I've had. The car in mint condition has a value close to 10K. It's an extremely low mileage orginal car that does get a lot of attention and will run for a very long time. It is a very solid motor and transmission. No body rot. Carpet is in great shape inside. Seats are not cracked. Dash is not Cracked. Door panels are perfect and it's a fun car to drive. THE CAR IS NOT PERFECT. IT IS 29 YEARS OLD. I'm sure at some point in it's life it has had some scratch fixed or a fender painted. The car looks great in person and is fun to drive. This is a car you can buy and drive as is or slap a coat of paint on and have great cruiser.
