Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 My husband special ordered this car. It's a 1969 Camaro sport coupe. It's a "coupe" not an SS, This car is in great condition for a restoration project. It is a one owner car. When we moved to Ca we filed for lost title so we could keep the original Indiana title that GMAC finance company had signed off on when it was paid for. It has been properly "non-op"ed so there are no outstanding fees. The body rust is from residing in Indiana for its first 10 yrs. It has been garage stored in California for the last 31yrs. The body rust around the back window is definitely serious and will need to be completely replaced. The other areas of rust around the wheels are holes, but I really think they could just be drilled out and have new metal placed there. I don’t think that you would need to replace the quarter panels or the front fenders. I have looked underneath and the rust does not appear to be larger on the underneath. That’s just my opinion and I don’t know body work at all. The Car was only driven a short time and then stored (outside in Indiana) until 1980. The body rust is mainly on the surface from sitting. The car has been undercoated with Zbart. The underside of the car did not get the weather damage because it was parked not driven in the snow, and did not get the snow, ice and salts built up under it. The frame is not rusted and looks good. It has less than 5000 original miles. It has the original motor and transmission in it and runs great. Has no battery in it right now. My husband changed the cam shaft and it has a "nice lope" to it. It has a 411 posi in it now. I have the original 308 posi rear end to go with it. You can have that if you want it for “original restoration.” You will need to let me know if you do. I have the original wheels, rings and top hats also included. I have the ventilation panel for under the front window and a clean panel for the damage of the front panel. Glass is all good and the dash and door panels haven't been chopped up. The window cranks and the tracks all work well. The interior is in great condition. There are no holes, tears or rips anywhere on the seats, door panels or headliner and visor. The seatbelts are all there. The dash is in original condition, with no knobs missing and the gauges all worked the last time we started the car. There is a tachometer anchored to the steering column, but that is the only adjustment he made around the dash. The back carpet is in good condition, but I cut the front passenger side out because it had gotten damp and was getting mold and I didn’t want any damage to the floor panel (it’s ok). It had a vinyl top that we removed (the cause of the rust at the back window). I also believe a quarter panel was once replaced but my husband has passed away and I don't remember (was before we met). It’s pretty much all original and all there. Just really dusty. I have about 100 pictures of the car stored on my computer so if you are interested in more I can send them to you. I have it listed for 13,000 in other venues and I will cancel this listing when or if sold there first. I am also open to best offers and will contact you if not sold from the other listings or if the reserve is not met here. I would really like to sell the car and get my driver in the garage, but I won’t give this away. Body rust and all this is still a car worth the price, even in this economy. The same goes for the starting bid. “A” type personalities can’t see a reason to waist time on ridiculous bids. But, the “buy it now” price is higher than the “reserve”. I have described the car as well as I can, but please ask any questions you might have. I will answer as well as I can. If you prefer to call and speak with me, please do. On the shipping/delivery of the car the buyer is responsible for all costs. I will be available to assist in the pick up. If you want the original 308 rear end, that will not be able to be stored in the car as with the other loose items (car panels, wheels, top hats, rings). Please remember and ask the carrier about it. You can contact me @ 760-217-2762 in California (please consider the time differences) Chris Thank You for your Interest
