This little beauty has been used sparingly all its life, sold new in California it has always remained here. 1973 is the last year of the very desirable small "European" style bumpers. The only years these cars had these bumpers in the USA was 72-73. From 74 on they have the "Baby Buggy" style, making 1973 one of the most desirable years. Lovingly cared for, always garaged, and even covered in the garage, it is still very beautiful. New paint last year. Runs and drives great, no leaks or smoking. If you have ever owned one of these fine automobiles, you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun, and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for 30 years, I can tell you, this is an extremely nice car! Hard top and soft top. The soft top has a couple of tears and the windows are browned. The interior is nice, seats re-upholstered a couple of years ago so lots of padding. Very clean, all gauges work including the clock . Factory alloy wheels still look good. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn out car then this is the car for you! 189K miles are nothing to a good well-cared-for Mercedes, and it would be hard to find one better cared for than this one.
