1939 CHEVROLET MASTER DELUXE 42,990 MILES Up for auction is a perfect example of what CHEVROLETS where like in 1939. My father puchased this car from an estate of a former Chevrolet Dealer. There is no documentation confirming, but the family claims that they have owned the car since new. The car has 42,990 miles, and is in good shape considering its unrestored condition and age. This car has had a cheap paint job placed over the unmolested original chiped up paint, to preserve its body. It is very solid, with a few dings or dents, but no rust. The car is equipt as described: 216 I-6 cyl 3 speed manual rear suicide doors factory radio city/country horn selector all glass good, except pass side windshield is cracked below the wiper ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL rust free body everything is here The old glass does have some bubbles in the saftey paper on each window. This is not a show car, it is in original condition, with exception to the paint. The car does run and drive well, with exception to the braking system.
