1976 Honda CB

This auction is for a two owner original 1976 CB500T Honda that is basically in as new condition and has to be one of the best examples offered for sale. I collect 60s and 70s Japanese motorcycles and I purchased this one from a retired Minnesota Highway patrolman on 4-30-06 who purchased it new from Thiebert Sports in Red Lake Falls MN. I have watched ebay since I purchased the bike and I'm not sure if there's been one offered for sale in this condition and this original. This bike is all original including the paint and the original oem tires. It comes with the original tool kit, owners manual, keys and original Honda service manual.I cleaned the carbs, serviced the front master cylinder and purchased a nos original Honda RH start switch as the button and spring were broke. The cylinder head brace is removed but included. The fork lowers, engine cases and the spokes have some tarnish and there's a one inch scratch on the LH side cover above the CB500t decal. The mufflers and exhaust crossover are excellent and not rusted out. There's minor foot scratches on the mufflers and they are minimal and do not stand out.The tank has no rust and has never been treated. The paint, except as noted, seat, gauges, cables, controls, etc. are like new. The rubber strap that holds the tool kit in position was not there and I ordered a new one from Honda and it is a superceded part number and not correct, so I sent it back. I have 15 old Japanese bikes and I need to thin out some and that is the reason for selling. I feel that you will look for a long time to find another this nice and in unmolested original condition. The bidder has to make all arrangements for shipping and crating. I will assist the owner or tranportation company in getting the bike shipped. I request a $ 500.00 paypal payment within 48 hours after the auction closes and the balance paid and cleared before the bike leaves my home. I would like to see the sale final in 30 days, but I will work with you if the bike needs to sit here for awhile before pickup if the non refundable $ 500.00 is paid.
