Super clean vehicle. Used only by non-smokers. Meticulously maintained. All maintenance records will be given at the time of sale. Never had a single problem with this car. Never been in any accidents (big or small). The windshield has developed a crack about 2 years ago, and was replaced. Last 3 pictures show all known significant evidence of wear-and-tear: a quarter-size dent above the left front wheel well, paint scratch on the top of the front passenger side rocker panel, loading scratches on the rear bumper cover. There are other small scratches, as would be typical of a used car, but too small to appear on photographs. For the past 4 months we have not driven this car. We have now 3 vehicles and only 2 of them in use. RAV4 has been very good to us, but now it has to go and find a new home. IMPORTANT NOTE: This particular 2006 RAV4 has been engineered and built prior to any Toyota recalls. It has been a wonderfully reliable vehicle for us. The standard equipment is quite comprehensive: Full size spare tire, stability control, traction control, with panic brake assist, tire pressure monitoring, LED tail and stop lamps, A/C, AM/FM CD with 6 speakers and auxiliary mini plug, tilt/telescoping adjustable steering wheel, power windows, door locks, keyless entry, Optitron IP gauges, 2 front and 1 cargo auxiliary 12 V power outlets, 60/40 split 2nd row bench seat (by the way, when fully folded, the maximum cargo volume is amazing 73 cu. ft.). In addition to the standard equipment, this SUV is equipped with the following optional equipment: cargo area tonneau cover with multipurpose cargo net and support poles, black roof rails and crossbars, 17" steel wheels (P225/65R17), and most importantly: Besides the standard driver and passenger front airbags, optional driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags and front-and-second-row roll-sensing side curtain airbags. Airbags cocoon all around the cabin for safety! In addition, we purchased Toyota factory original rubber floor mats (see the picture.) The comprehensive warranty on this car has already expired. But the manufacturer's 5-year warranty on the Powertrain is still valid till 6/2011 or up to 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The current mileage of 48,770 is low. At this mileage the car feels solid and powerful as if it is only just breaking its stride. Wonderful torque delivery from such a small engine. You should expect easily another 100,000 of reliable miles on this vehicle. You should also expect excellent mileage -- for an SUV. In our usage we have recorded anywhere between 26 to 30 mpg. Brake pads have approximately 30% thickness left, and the mechanics still do not recommend replacing them until their thickness drops below 10%.The regular, all-season tires are like-new, less than 1-year old -- and we only purchase top-rated Michelins (although the brand is admittedly rather expensive): Latitude Tour P225/65R17. The winter-dedicated tires with alloy wheels are included: Michelin Latitude X-Ice 215/70QR16. These have been used through 4 winters, but I believe they should last additional 3 more or so. The X-Ice tires provide amazing grip on snow and ice, thus practically eliminating any need for 4x4 drive-train in the nasty, white, slippery stuff. The reason we did not want to pay extra for 4x4 is because with the 2.4 L engine and the front-wheel drive, the vehicle is so much lighter, much more fuel-efficient, and pleasant to drive. To my engineering mind, the dedicated winter tires are always a more appropriate solution (rather than 4x4) to the winter traction woes. IMPORTANT NOTE: Paypal can only be used for deposit.
