Here is one of the rarest CJ's I have ever sold on Ebay!!! Sun Orange was a 1977 and 1978 Color and is by far the most desirable color for ANY CJ. I can only guess in 1983 it still was popular. AMC manufactured and allocated less than 300 Orange Jeeps to be sold through California Dealers only. Very few remain. They were dubbed California Specials...They were loaded.1 of 300, not sure how many are still around. I know of only 4 that I have seen in 20 years. Power steering, power brakes, tachometer, clock, appearance group, heavy duty cooling, heavy duty electrical, 5 speed. Just like a Laredo. 1983 CJ-7, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, Sun Orange 7Z, Original gray denim seats, rust free, not messed with, stock and near perfect!! Autocheck Certified no issues. No accidents or problems ever. 7Z Sun Orange, (color is listed on ID tag, not even on official Color Factory Invoices!!) Gray Bucket Seats Free-wheeling hubs 4.2 Liter 6 cylinder Conventional spare Center console ( I do not have) Rear Seat with dual belts 5 speed Power steering H.D. Engine cooling H.D. battery White Hardtop with doors Floor carpet Comes with manual, stacks of records, registrations, always a California Jeep. Original color, original seats, dash, top, doors, engine, transmission, etc. About as original of a CJ-7 as you will find. Engine fender wells look new, engine unaltered, has had massive amounts spent on everything from carburetor to emissions, about $4000, and it shows. Starts instantly, idles well, does not stumble under acceleration, an has power like they had 27 years ago!!! Wheels are factory OEM Chrome, with new lugs, and new tires, balanced for the highway.Comes with white hardtop, not pictured... it is nice with no issues. All gauges work. Lights, horn, turn signals, all work fine. Dash is uncut, radio is shaft radio. Carpet glued down to spotless floors. I usually pull carpet, but since this has a hardtop on it, been in California, and is kept in my garage, I passed on doing that. Seats are original with minimal wear, all seat belts work. Fender wells and all floors in rear look good. I drive this Jeep, it is tight, rattle and squeak free. It is a joy around town and on the highway. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere!! Runs great, does not leak on garage floor. Will have oil seepage from valve cover and power train... they all do. The 4wd works just as it should in high and low range. Frame is mint straight. Frame has no rot, surface scale in places, all body mounts are solid. The body and paint is about as flawless as you will find on a 28 plus year old Jeep. Appears to be all original. Rear corners touched up at some point in its past...paint match is excellent. Still a little paint imperfection on drivers upper seam (rear corner) where hardtop sits. I had windshield frame removed and painted.... it looks new. Most everyone would never notice or care about these things, but am disclosing them anyway. I tried to take pictures of all the trouble spots on most Jeeps. Rust in seams, rust up on windshield frame, floors all cobbled up, high miles or no documentation, rusty underneath. You never see pictures of these areas, I took pictures of all of these areas to show how nice this Jeep is!! Any other flaws are way less than normal wear and tear. Only wear you would expect on a 60K mile vehicle, not a 28 year old Jeep. 30 Day Power train Warranty to new Buyer at no charge. Delivery Options: If you buy a Jeep from me and I mis-represent something, I will work with you to make it right. I know CJ’s and don’t expect to have this issue, but I want to treat people the way I want to be treated. To be clear here, I am not offering a warranty, (other than my powertrain warranty explained earlier) these are old AMC made Jeeps and prone to issues. What I am offering is that if you get this and it has a 4 speed and I say it’s a 5 or I say no rot on the floors and you find it looks like Fred Flintstone drove it, etc I’ll make it right….I know this won’t happen, but I want you to feel secure. Look at my feedback and bid with confidence. All in all a very nice unrestored Jeep, and should be a great deal for someone. Very dependable, very rust free, very desirable color combination, sure to appreciate over time. Please keep in mind you are buying a 28 year old UNRESTORED vehicle, it will have flaws no matter how good it looks in pictures. If you are expecting a perfect CJ, move on, they weren't perfect in 1983. I have sold 49 CJ's on Ebay since 1999. (I know Jeeps, more than many people, and not as much as others. If you have a question I should be able to answer you with no bull.) All the CJ's I have sold in were in varying degrees of perfection. This Jeep is not perfect, but it is exceptional in its intended purpose. Again, NO RESERVE, someone will get a bargain. I am a Kansas dealer and collect sales tax for the state if you are a Kansas resident. I charge a $89.50 documentation fee, and have 100% perfect feedback on selling Harleys and cars on ebay, so bid with confidence!! Please check my feedback on all my items!!! I will help with transportation if you request. I can suggest transport companies I have had good luck with, or can suggest shuttles bringing you from the airport closer in to me. I also have a driver that will drive your new vehicle for .75 a mile, including airfare and all expenses!!! Try to beat that deal!! He is a retired pilot and flys for reduced fare, all you need to do is give him a ride to the airport and pay him .75 cents a mile!!! His minimum charge is $400. A $500 deposit with paypal 1 hour after auction is required to bid on this item if you win, and by bidding you agree to this. Balance within 5 days only cash or bank wire transfer. No other ways work, such as cashiers checks or personal checks, UNLESS, you wish to wait the time needed for those to clear my bank. I will wait if you will.
