Vehicle Detail

1950 Chevrolet Fleetline 2 door sedan also known as a fastback original 216 with three speed on the column. This car was purchased from a gentleman here in the bay area California. His father purchased this car new back in 1950 and was used as their daily driver until 1975 when it was parked in their garage. It has since been taken out and brought into my garage where it has been parked for about 1 year. I had it posted a few months back on E Bay but because it was not registered not too many were interested in dealing with the Department of Motor vehicles. It is now currently registered and has a clean California title in my name. This car will need to be gone through but the engine does turn over and has good compression. The car sat inside a garage for over 25 years so there is surface rust in some places of the car. As you can see in the pictures the floors are solid and all sheetmetal is original. I have a picture of the items that were taken off the engine compartment and then powder coated in black. The car has damage to the passenger side quarter panel but I do have an extra one that came off another 50 fleetline that is very straight included with the purchase of the car. The damage was caused by a wooden support that was in the garage where I purchased the car from, every so often the owner would bump it on the way out and eventually caused the quarter to get this way. The damage is not as bad as it looks in the pictures, it can easily be repaired by a body shop. The gas tank was removed to be cleaned and is currently out of the car. This car like I mentioned has potential to be a show car since its been in California its entire life and only had one owner. The glass on the car is in good shape other than the two front doors they have some cracks but they roll up smooth. I have the original keys that lock the doors and trunk, all electrical wiring seems to be unmolested and hooked up properly. I recently turn the motor over and checked compression and it was over 110 on each cylinder. What you see is what you get people this car is no show car right now by any means. This car has been cleaned thoroughly and has no surprises by that I mean no spiders or rodents. The brakes are all there and would need to be checked and as far as the clutch it engages but I dont know how well it works. All the gears shift fine and steering has no play. It does have a butterfly steering wheel, deluxe heater, windshield washer jar, front and rear bumper guards. I have a low reserve on the car but will sell before auction ends if the right offer is made. MEMORIAL DAY SALE 3 DAY AUCTION LOW RESERVE The cadillac hubcaps are not included in the sale of the car but can be sold seperately if the price is right. I have very good feedback and I have described it to the best of my knowledge. I am fully aware of the scams on ebay so please do not waste my time. If you have 0 feedback and you decide to bid you will be blocked. If you have any questions please call me at eibarra@yahoo.com and I will get right back to you. Good Luck Bidding
