I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW OF $33,900 FOR SERIOUS BUYERS! THANKS AND GOOD LUCK! I can be reached at 760) 805:8038. This is a great buy on a matching number, CA black plate, two top, solid axle early Corvette. It is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible that is a lifelong California car and still has it's original black and yellow license plate. Even better, the car is a two top car and has a white convertible soft top and factory hardtop. It has it's matching number 327 c.i. small block Chevy that runs very, very well. This is probably the best driving C1 Vette that I have ever driven. Most are like trying to drive a tractor down the road, but this one is an absolute pleasure to drive. It is smooth, strong, and surprisingly fast. The engine still has the numbers clearly stamped on the front pad. Both the VIN set and the suffix codes are easy to read. New fuel pump and new generator. The steering, suspension, brakes, and clutch are all in excellent shape. The manual transmission shifts smoothly with no hang ups. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It starts right up, settles into a smooth idle, and doesn't stumble even in Southern California traffic. It sounds awesome with the factory style exhaust. Original air cleaner, ignition shielding, and overflow tank. As you would expect from a CA car, the frame is in excellent condition. It is extremely solid. Try to find one this clean back East! The body is in good condition. There has been a minor repair some time ago on the fender lip of the driver's side front wheel. The Honduras Maroon paint is old and has quite a few chips and minor scratches. I actually like ones like this much better since you can use them for what they were intended. TO DRIVE AND HAVE FUN! Personally, I would not re-paint it but it could use it if you wanted to take it up a level. The chrome has pitting. The interior is in good condition. The seats, door panels, dashpad, etc. are all nice. The carpet is not ripped at all, but is sun faded from being enjoyed on summertime cruises. The gauges work except for the tachometer. The lights and signals work fine. The windshield wipers work well. There is no radio installed currently but the dash has not been cut. The white soft top is in good shape but is not new. It has had a minor repair at the base of the top on the driver's side back. It does not affect the use of it. The back window is fine. The hardtop is in nice condition. Newer tires mounted on factory steel wheels with original spinner hubcaps. I have zero interest in dealing with numbers nazis whose only intention is to prove to me how much they know about Corvettes or let me know what they don't like about mine. They can quickly turn what I try to make a pleasant Ebay experience into an aggravating one in a hurry. Serious buyers only please. This is not a perfect show car. It is fun, fast, and affordable driver that will put a smile on your face and everybody else's every time you take it out. I am located in North County Coastal San Diego. 10% deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction, balance due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup, but I will be happy to work with the shippers to help however I can to get the Corvette on it's way. I have a shipping connection that I can use to help assist with transport. I can be reached at 760 805=8038. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK!!On May-27-10 at 14:14:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the calls, e-mails, and bids! I just wanted to let everybody know that I would also consider selling the car for less if I keep the hardtop since I have a buddy that wants it. If you don't care about having both tops, this is an even better deal. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions. Thanks!
