Vehicle Detail

Please be really serious, with cash. I don't want to worry about loans, wives, friends, the weather. I am ready to sell as I have listed with NO RESERVE to a SERIOUS BUYER!!! That being said special thanks to asad.kazmii... 0% feedback bidder from Pakistan who screwed up my previous auction by bidding, winning, and then crawling back in his cave...why do people do this??? Seriously, does anybody get their kicks by doing this? To the auction!!! 1984 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo. Volumes have been written about this Jeep mostly when owned by previous owner of 15 years. It was the Top Truck Challenge winner in 1993 for 4 Wheeler Magazine. That has blossomed into a mega event with $600000 buggies and one off designs with factory racers and crawlers. This Jeep was the 1st winner and one of a handful of CJ's that were ever able to master the course. Capable? Very. In 2007 I was lucky enough to find this vehicle in California. I had looked for 4 years to find a rust free Jeep, with a V8, an automatic that I could drive 70mph on the highway in comfort, with a/c, to my favorite trails, rock climb for the day, and then drive home. Very few vehicles in my 40 years of driving will do such a task. Over $65000 was invested by the previous owner on research and development. I changed a few things to make it even more drivable. I have spent about another $4000 to update and improve some things over the last few years. It will start after sitting for a month and drive on errands all day long. It does not overheat. You can then put it in 4 low and crawl at about 1.5mph. It will crawl over anything you have the guts to try. It is an amazing truck to say the least. I need to fund my race car project and want to keep my Harley, so I reluctantly offer it for sale for a GREAT PRICE. I know I will never have another one like this, so good luck to one lucky person!! http://www.hoodlift.com/Jeep%20description.htm I have a short 7 minute video that a buyer might find helpful. keep in mind I an not a professional movie maker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvfoI5lMeyw Below is description from previous owners build records. 350 Chev fuel-injected V-8 engine from a 1991 Chevrolet Truck, it was rebuilt a few years back, runs very well, all stock manifolds, passed CA emissions. Four-core radiator for exceptional cooling, does not overheat. Big fan and shroud. All Carb approved and California emissions legal 700 R-4 transmission with overdrive, I was told valve body has been calibrated for lighter vehicle. Atlas II transfer case, 3.8 Twin stick: you can choose front wheel or rear wheel drive or both and high or low. CV, heavy-duty drive shaft in rear. Heavy-duty front drive shaft (plus spares for both…never needed them). Dana 44 front and rear with 4:10 ratio and ARB Air Lockers ARBs are operated with air switches instead of relying on electrical switches and solenoids You can choose which end to lock or lock both Hi-Pinion Dana 44 in front. Disc brakes on all four corners Full-floater rear end with Warn 30-spline high-strength axles Ability to install included unlocking hubs if you want to flat-tow unlocked. This is no longer necessary since replacing the Dana 300 transfer case with the Atlas. Mounting points for shocks and arms moved up for clear path under axle tubes (Take a look at the new Rubicons and many other vehicles. Rock-grabbing "stuff" hangs below the axle tubes.) Extra axle shafts for front and rear (In all the years I've wheeled it, I've broken only one rear axle shaft…and that was because a locking rear hub let go when I gassed it hard to climb Farmington New Mexico's famous "crap shoot" in Choke Cherry Canyon. I don't use the locking hubs any more…just the solid flanges. No more broken rear axles and I've never broken a front axle on the Dana 44 front end. ) Modified Rubicon-Express long-arm kit with their big under-tranny skid plate. 20 gallon gas tank with gas-tank skid plate Hydraulic ram steering. Custom steering box brace. Supremely strong tie rods and ends. Tie rod is actually 3 chrome-moly tubes slipped inside each other for 3-ply strength. Air Bag suspension system from Off Road Only with manual or automatic height adjustments from inside the cab In-cab ability to tilt side to side In-cab ability to tilt front or back or corner to corner Height and speed sensors tell the computer where to locate the Jeep…and that is where you have programmed it to be! Sway-Loc air-operated front sway bar which can be modified from high to low stiffness from inside the cab Rear sway bar Engine-driven air compressor On-board hose reel for running air tools or inflating tires, air mattresses, etc. Extra quick-disconnect air fittings. Dual Optima batteries with in-cab selectable for both or either. Warn 9500 winch with in-cab controls or optional controls from the front. Winch can be disconnected and operated on the rear. High-Lift jack mount on front with provisions for locking it on Custom front bumper with tow bar mounts and folding tow bar. Tow bar mounts can also be used for front shackles Wired for towing. Front radiator-protection loop bar. It has been powder coated black. Bobbed fenders with Warn fender flares Recessed tail lights HoodLift that lifts and holds the hood up without using the prop rod 35" Goodyear MT tires mounted on 15" bead locked aluminum rims on 5x5 ½ bolt pattern Custom, extra-strong rocker guards Roll bar ties directly to the frame Full-custom roll bar protects front and rear passengers. Custom 3-piece dash, easily removable. All gauges are analog. Vintage Air heating and A/C system with in-dash outlets In-dash air gauge AM/FM/CD radio High-quality CB radio. Large, lockable deep center console. Interior floor and boxes coated with Rhino-lining Electronic intrusion alarm Three extra 12V outlets…one in rear for refrigerator (not included) or whatever Brand new Black denim Bestop Supertop. Bikini top in black I have a shipper that will give SERIOUS individuals quotes, and he offers great deals!!! Truck is not new and has been used. It has dings and some small imperfections from use. Body has scars, bead locks have gouges, it is not a show truck. It is dependable and will out climb most anything you can throw at it. It has not been thrashed by either myself or previous owner who built most of it. It drives down the road straight and should make it home no mater where you live if you decide to drive it home. It is a one of a kind opportunity for the right person. You will have the only one, and at pennies on my investment. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I have sold 47 CJ's on Ebay since 1999. (I know Jeeps, more than many people, and not as much as others. If you have a question I should be able to answer you with no bull.) All the CJ's I have sold in were in varying degrees of perfection. This Jeep is not perfect, but it is exceptional in its intended purpose. Again, NO RESERVE, someone will get a bargain. I am a Kansas dealer and collect sales tax for the state if you are a Kansas resident. I charge a $89.50 documentation fee, and have 100% perfect feedback on selling Harleys and cars on ebay, so bid with confidence!! Please check my feedback on all my items!!! I will help with transportation if you request. I can suggest transport companies I have had good luck with, or can suggest shuttles bringing you from the airport closer in to me. A $500 deposit with paypal 1 hour after auction is required to bid on this item if you win, and by bidding you agree to this. Balance within 5 days only cash or bank wire transfer. No other ways work, such as cashiers checks or personal checks, UNLESS, you wish to wait the time needed for those to clear my bank. I will wait if you will. Those would need to be sent to me within 48 hours to start the process. If you have less than 10 feedback please email me prior to your bid. If all you have bought on ebay is trading cards, dolls, or marbles, please email me before you bid. Auctions are serious, and I have been on ebay since 1999 with only good things to say about the items I have sold and bought. I have never had problems with deadbeats until the last few months, I will not be friends anymore to ANY deadbeats whatsoever. You will be held accountable for any interfering with my ability to sell a vehicle on ebay. Please out of fairness to other ebay users, and myself, if you have a problem with payment options above you may email me ahead of time to see if we can work out other arrangements. Once you are winning bidder I expect you can comply to ALL stipulations. After you win the vehicle is not the time to try and arrange finances or to worry about not having a paypal account. It is expensive and time consuming to relist items, and a waste of a real buyers time. That being said, good luck, and enjoy the auction. If for some reason you do not agree with this policy, or do not think it is fair, DO NOT BID ON MY AUCTIONS. I have been in the automobile business for 27 years and pride myself on my reputation for selling GREAT cars at fair prices in the Kansas City area, and Ebay. Please be so kind as to understand this if you agree to bid, thanks, Frank. If you are flying in I have the following shuttle info...
