Vehicle Detail
This is a 1985 Toyota 4runner SR5 4x4 that runs really well and shifts well. I have never had to get anything repaired on this truck since I have owned it other than getting regular oil changes. Oil pressure stays fine and it has never overheated. Everything except for the rear bumper is stock on this truck. It has NOT been lifted. The rear bumper is super strong made of 1/8 inch steel with a 2 inch receiver on it. Basically, this truck has just been taken care of really well over the years. It is a very unique truck becuase it is the last year that toyota had the solid axle up front and it is the first year that toyota put fuel injection on these. The fuel injection is way more reliable than a carbuerator and the solid axle is what off roaders look for. It also has the hard top that is removable and I have only taken it off once. The top doesnt leak. It has power windows, a sun roof, rear window rolls down, ac works, heat works, it has the inclinometer on it too that works. I have owned this truck for about 4 or 5 years and have kept it inside since the day I bought it. I havent put many miles on the truck since I have owned it. I have a couple other vehicles and I just use this one for camping, fishing, and just riding around in the summer. It has good tires and wheels on it they are 32" X 11.50" maxxis buckshot mud terrains on aluminum wheels. It has manual locking hubs and shifting in and out of 4 wheel drive is flawless. 4 wheel low is super low. The 4 wheel drive works really well and I have never been anywhere that this truck couldn't handle. As you can see from the pictures it has a little bit of rust around the fenders and some oxidation on the hood, but if you've looked at these at all, you know this is in really good exterior shape for an older toyota. Interior has alot of stains on the carpet, but the seats are ok with no rips or anything. Also, I put in a console that I made out of an old ammo box, but I was still able to put the switches and wiring from the old console in the ammo box as you can see from the picture. I have the original information packet that came with this truck when it was first purchased in 1985. It includes the original owners manual and the owners guide for the truck. Overall, this is a very reliable and functional toyota. Driving it, you would never believe that it has over 250,000 miles on it. It runs great. I would like to mention a couple things that could be fixed if you thought they were neccessary. 1) the tires rub the inside of the fenders when you turn the wheels super sharp. However, it has never caused the truck or tires any problems. 2) The parking brake doesn't work. I just park it in gear, and it has never been a problem. 3) the plastic lock button on the rear lift gate is broken, so locking and unlocking the back hatch is difficult, however I just leave it unlocked. Its not a big deal. Probably a fix for less than $10. If you have any questions, I will answer them quickly.
