Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 For sale is my 1931 Ford Model A chassis. NO RESERVE! Top bid gets it! This is a real and original matching engine and frame numbers chassis. It includes the real CA title (clear and in my name, I will not sell the title separate). This chassis starts/runs/drives/stops. I purchased it over 3 years ago and got it running and drove it (up to about 40 mph) through all 3 gears and reverse quite a few times. Everything on it works great (water pump, ignition, brakes, clutch, starter, generator, etc.). It has a modern distributor cap, rotor, points, condenser, and wires. I replaced the distributor shaft and sleeve and had them professionally machined and honed to spec. I rebuilt the carburetor, had the radiator pressure tested (good) and sealed, but I do not have the correct cap. The linkages for all 4 shocks are missing. List of parts I replaced: Battery Internal carburetor components and seals Distributor shaft and sleeve Rotor Condenser Points Ignition switch Junction box Coil Amp meter Ignition-junction box-coil-starter-meter wiring All replaced parts (except modern dist. parts) are new OEM from a local Model A parts specialist. To the best of my knowledge, everything other than what I have mentioned is original. I can get it running to show the winning bidder upon pick up only. This doesn’t really matter to what you may do with this chassis, but I know some of you may ask so here you go: I bought it from an acquaintance and it had some incorrect or off-year/model body and other parts on it. I worked on it to get it running and driving and was successful. After getting it running, I took off all the body and other parts that were not original or were incorrect. My intention was to acquire a less-than-pristine but correct year, original body for it then lower it, maybe chop it, and after some four banger speed parts have a fairly original little hot rod with the original four banger and trans and rear end. Nothing not mentioned or pictured here is available with this sale. On May-26-10 at 17:00:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I am not interested in trades, so please don't ask. Thanks.
