Vehicle Detail
I bought this truck damaged from an auction at the beginning of this year. It has made me re-think my view of being a Chevy Guy. This truck is nothing but a work-horse and probably could pull houses off foundations if attempted. I included a picture of the damage when I bought it. I replaced all the steering and front suspension/shocks new. I also replaced the driver fender used OEM from a '99 with the same color and the missing tailgate from an '02. The headlight bucket is cracked, but I have another set of both headlight assemblies that can go with the truck. They are used, but less foggy than the ones that are on it. The new receiver/ball also go with the truck. The black plastic on the top of the bumper is aftermarket and does not fit the best. This truck has the Dana 60 solid axle front end which made finding the front suspension harder and more costly. I have a lot of receipts for what I did and even the alignment afterward. I just hauled a full-sized car on a trailer (not dolly) from Portland to Sacramento through the Siskiyou mountains. I averaged almost 30mpg for the whole trip. It has the optional Infinity sound system and is loaded with options. I have not done anything else to this truck other than wash the outside and change the oil. It has dirt inside and coffee spilled from the original owners' accident. You would need to shampoo the carpet. The original owner had it set up as a 5th-wheel because the holes were drilled into the bed before the Line-X'd it so there is no rust around them. Does not leak or burn oil although it is about 1K away from needing another oil change. I have seen these Cummins Rams with 700K-800K still going strong with out mechanical problems. I have attempted to explain all that I know about this truck and if there are any other questions then feel free to email and I will answer them asap. This truck is great and I would have no problem driving it anywhere in the country. IF A SALVAGE SCARES YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT BID BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO EXPLAIN THE LOGISTICS OF A SALVAGE TITLE. You can just stay safe by believing your next-door neighbor's uncle's friend who said, "If it is a salvage then that means it must have been nothing' less then being hit by a train!" And I'll keep my truck and you keep your money. Winning bidder picks up the truck and hands me cash. I have the title and it is in my name. Currently registered in Oregon until next year.
