1967 Pontiac GTO You are bidding on a true GTO that is a good runner. You can use it as is or bring it up to the next level down the road. It’s a solid car that runs real strong and quick. There are a lot of GTO clones out there, invent in the real deal. This car was out of Arkensas in 1993 and then in New Mexico before being shipped to NJ a couple years ago. The underside is real solid. It has its original floors that are very nice and original quarters. Possibly original sheet metal for the rest but the owner is not sure. The frame is in nice shape and clean. The body will need some work down the road. There is some filler on the front inside of the rear wheel wells as well as the lower quarters. There is a little rust showing by the rear window but not rotted. It was originally Regimental Red, now painted black. The paint is older, faded and cracked. You can buff it out but it will need to be redone down the road. The chrome is original. The trunk pan is solid and still has the original fleck paint. The Parchment bucket seat interior is either older restored or good original. The seats are in nice shape. The door panels are good. The carpet looks to have been replaced. The center console has some stick on wood appliqué that looks like its from a home improvement store. The dash wood is original and still decent. The headliner is in nice shape and is possibly newer. It has the original AM radio in the dash with Sunpro Oil, Temp, and Volt gauges under the dash. A Tach is mounted on the column with a Grant steering wheel giving a custom look. The original wheel is in the trunk. The drivetrain runs real strong in this Goat. It’s a YT code 400 (481988 casting) with 6X heads rebuilt with performance additions. The cam is bumped up from stock with a nice lope to it. The intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM topped with a Demon carb. Firing the fuel is a MSD Pro Billet Distributor with MSD Wires and Coil. Expelling the fumes is a set of ceramic coated headers into dual exhaust with Flowmasters that sound nice. Cooling the engine is a 4-Core Performance Radiator. It has a new Alternator and a remote oil filter. Backing this engine is a 4-Speed Muncie Transmission and a 12-bolt Posi rear. In the trunk is a new set of 3.73 gears that haven’t been installed yet. Front and rear sway bars help this handle real well. There is also a set of Edelbrock shocks in the trunk that go with the car. She rides on a set of American Racing wheels with Goodyear radials. It has manual brakes with a new master cyl and power steering. This car runs real well and has a lot of power. It drives real nice and is a fun car to take out on the weekends or to the local track. Overall, this is a decent GTO you can drive and enjoy as is and then fix it up as you go. It seems mechanically sound as it runs well and drives nice. The body will need some attention but it’s not some totally rotted out all out project. The interior you can just clean and use just the way it is. Plus it’s a REAL GTO!
