Vehicle Detail
1973 Corvette- Black, 4spd, PS, PB, AC. Mechanical Condition- GM 350 Crate Motor. Still Under warranty 3yr/36K. All new belts, hoses, gaskets etc. Edelbrock Performer Intake and 650 Carburetor. I like this set up as it is smooth, reliable, easy on gas and still plenty of power. The upgraded HEI ignition is completely trouble free. The 4spd transmission shifts smooth with a Center force clutch. The car has power steering and works fine. Car maintains optimal temps from the high-flow water pump and Be Cool radiator- even in the middle of summer traffic. The suspension is excellent with no leans or camber issues-in other words it sits perfect without any bottoming out issues. The differential has been serviced and is trouble free. The brakes are in excellent shape as well. The car is fast, shifts smooth, handles well, sounds awesome and stops safely. It is reliable, safe and though I’m certain you car guys have heard it before (and NOT been true) but you can drive it home-anywhere with confidence. Interior- All gauges work properly; however I chose to add a new water temp and oil pressure unit under the dash for accuracy and reliability. I didn’t want to trust 30 year old gauges with a new engine. All of the remaining gauges i.e. speedometer and gas work fine except for the tachometer which needs an adapter for the HEI unit. There is an in-dash AM/FM CD player but it is not connected yet and though this is a factory AC car, I have not had the chance to install a new compressor. The, carpet, seats, and panels are in good shape as you can see from the pictures. Exterior- This is not a “ten-footer” as you can see from the pictures. All of the chrome is new. It has been stripped and repainted with a base coat/clear coat for durability and shine. I won’t say that it doesn’t have some kind of flaw or so but I will say that there are no chips or scratches in the paint. Floor-pans, strut-towers and frame-rails are all rock-solid. I would not have invested this kind of time and money into a car that wasn’t worth it. I constantly get comments about the paint. The T-tops work perfectly. It is in outstanding driver-quality condition. The BFG tires are fairly new as well as the Rally Wheels. The lights work perfectly without any vacuum problems. History and Documentation- I have a file at least 3 inches thick with all of the car’s repair history, warrantees, upgrades and restoration as well as countless pictures of it I would be happy to put on disc for you. Notice detail in the engine bay- no deceptive spray paint used in the engine bay in attempts to cover up rust or give the appearance of a new engine. This is a brand new engine installed by a professional shop and all of the receipts and warranty material will go with the car. This is not a numbers-matching car but an awesome driver. I also have appraisal papers for insurance purposes from an independent agent as well. Serious buyers only. The reserve is very reasonable; however, if you don’t have the money, or don’t understand what the car is worth, then please don’t bid. If you are serious, I can even send a video driving the car with a walk-around as well. I will assist with shipping the vehicle anywhere but it is up to the buyer to pay costs. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I have been a member of eBay for a long time now and have earned an excellent reputation for being honest and forthright. See my reviews. Feel free to contact me on my cell @ (808) 753-2096 with any questions. I am a Chief in the Navy currently stationed in Millington, TN and will be happy to show the car during lunch or evening hours. No surprises, no disappointments…just an awesome car. If you’re wondering why I am selling the car, I could show you an X-ray of my left hip and you’d understand…won’t be getting any better.
