Vehicle Detail
CLEAN CAR! 1997 LEXUS LS400 SEDAN 2nd OWNER VEHICLE~ VERY CLEAN, RUNS LIKE NEW ~ For you consideration is my wife's former car. We purchased this car from Lexus of Glendale in 2000 and have had it since roughly 50,000 miles on the odometer. It has been very well cared for and had all of the required and suggested maintenance all along the way, although my wife did not keep any of the records as she likes to throw everything out. Frankly, I'm lucky I'M still here!! CONDITION: as you can see by the pictures, the car is very clean inside. The leather seats show minor wear as one would expect, but no tears or rips. As you would expect, the highest amount of wear is where the driver gets in and there is a bit of wear there, but all other seats look almost like new, especially the back! There is an AM/FM Stereo radio, cassette and a six disc changer that uses a cartridge loaded into the glove compartment. The stereo is in perfect working order and has had the speakers upgraded (I used to be in the audio business and cannot stand stock speakers!). The sun-roof doubles as a moon roof. It can be fully opened or simple raised in the back to allow air in while keeping the sun shaded by the tinted window. When not in use, there is a door that covers it completely. The dashboard and panel windows are immaculate, and the burlwood interior trim is very clean.! It has the original floor mats, also in good condition. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is very clean and also tilts up, forward and backward to allow for perfect placement according to the driver. It has dual temperature controls for both the driver and passenger, and both air conditioner and heater work as they are supposed to! The electric seats in the front move forward/back as well as up, down, tilt, recline and it has an electric lumbar support. IT IS A VERY COMFORTABLE CAR to drive! It gets "roughly" 23 miles to the gallon on the highway, and 20 on side streets. The brakes and tires were recently replaced and both are in fine shape. Externally, there are a couple of very small blemishes in the paint and one scuff mark on the passenger side trim, but there are no major dents or dings of any kind. Here are pix from four different angles and a closeup of the scuffs... The car has never had any major issues of any kind. It has had the rear bumper replaced because she backed into something and did not like the scuff mark. This is an 8-Cylinder car and has no problem whatsoever getting up and going or getting out of it's own way! Frankly, I STILL think she is nuts for selling it, but she bought a newer model Lexus, smaller, and likes it better. I truly do not! I have the sports coupe or I'd keep it myself. In fact, with the new car she bought, we have had 4 Lexus's and swear by them! SPECIAL NOTE: I noticed in the car report that eBay gives you, there is some question about a lien on the title. I have no idea what this is, but I have in hand the pink slip which I would not have if there were any attachments, or moneys owed, The title is absolutely clean and clear. One last thing... I just noticed that the plastic vent cover on the lower driver side, by the foot well is missing and Joy says it has been for years. I will attempt to get one before the car sells, but for now, consider it not there. It does not affect the heater's ability to warm the car at all. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get into a Luxury car par-excellence, here you go. It is priced to sell! I have literally 1100+ items on eBay, mostly books and music, but have been selling on eBay for almost 10 years. I assure you that if anything were wrong with the car, I'd mention it. As of this writing, I do not have any closeups of the scuff mark on the lower trim mentioned earlier. I will try to get that uploaded shortly. And just in case you would like to see the other hundreds of items I have available use the link at the bottom of the page. (No off eBay sales...) PAYMENT TERMS: Pay for it and take it away! FOB is Walnut, California. Transport options are many, and I am happy to help make arrangements for those who cannot pick it up, but any and all costs will be paid by the buyer. It is currently registered in California and if you live in this state, it will need to be smogged (by Law!) before title can be made. It will pass with flying colors, but the cost is about $60 to smog it. Check the laws in your state for any registering anomalies. You are welcome to come and inspect it yourself, or if you have any specific questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will answer promptly, assuming I actually receive your email.
