Vehicle Detail
This is your chance to get a rare mustang pace car. I hate to get rid of it but I have had it in storage most of its life and it is time to sell to someone who will show it off. I bought it new in 1980. Used it a bit for three years, then stored it. I take it out once a year and put 8-10 miles on it. It has a little bit of a tuff history of storage. Had fire damage in 1987. Had to paint the gray and replace some rubber parts on drivers side, also did the lettering but not the black or the stripes on the black. Two years later somebody hit the front fender with a basketball, I replaced it and painted it. I have tried to keep it orginal, but when I first got it I had side pipe exhaust put on. 18 years old liked it loud. Org TRX tires, on it rear ones worn out, front still look good. Still fire damage on lower rubber strip and on hood scoop. See pictures. Runs great, looks good . Motor strong, hood liner is missing. Interior in great shape little wear in one seat, but no rips. Adjustment knob on drivers seat fell off but still have it. Interior is dirty from storage. Rear lense has little piece broke out of it. See pics. This car is the rarest of the Pace cars only 2,106 made with the V8 auto. There were only 661 of them put together in Dearborn Michigan, this is one of them. Also I have a turbo hood on my car from factory. I don't know why it was put on but I beleve this is the only V8 auto with a 4 cyl. turbo hood on it. I have a factory build sheet on the car from the Ford Motor Comp. I also have the title. I am listing this car with no reserve. I will shed a tear or two when it goes, but it is better to show this car off. Any questions on the history or car itself feel free to give me a call at 207-992-6344. I will be honest and tell you everything about the car. I will need $500 48 hrs. after winning bid and balance 7 days later. Will help with transportation if sells over $10,000, under $10,000 buyer will have to pay for transporting it.On May-27-10 at 08:17:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have found some of my original paperwork when I bought it. Window sticker, Flyer that came with it and my receipt.
