You are bidding on my 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 and believe me when I tell you, it is in mint condition. This is one of the nicest classic cars I've ever owned. It is in great condition considering it's 48 years old. It has a 292ci V8 which was rebuilt shortly before I purchased the car and I have put approximately 1,000 miles on it since the build. The engine starts and runs strong. These old Y-block engines are awesome! It has a brand new Autolite 2100 carb which is tuned for the colder weather but I will adjust it before you get the car. The auto transmission shifts perfectly as well. It has brand new stainless true dual exhaust and the sound is amazing. All of the dash gauges work as good as the day the car rolled off the assembly line. The interior is in good condition as well. This car has been driven for the last five decades, but it has been taken care of. This car is more of a cruiser than a muscle car, but the 292 has plenty of power when you need it. I can take more pictures of the car or a video of the car running if you're interested. The only issues the car has is there is some pitting and surface rust on the bumper. A super easy fix. In addition to that, some jerk scuffed the rear passenger door in a parking lot. There is no metal damage and most of the scuff can be buffed out. The front seat is starting to come apart at the seams from 50 years of use. It's not horrible though. In the state of North Carolina, if you attempt to register a classic vehicle with an out-of-state title, they require a VIN inspection in lieu of a safety inspection. Once this VIN inspection is done, they send the owner of the car a North Carolina title. The inspection on the Galaxie was conducted last Thursday (May 13) and all is good with the VIN. I am currently waiting for the title which is being mailed by the North Carolina DMV. If this is a concern, I am willing to sign a notarized Bill-of-Sale or draft a contract stating I will provide the title to the buyer as soon as I receive it from the DMV.
