UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1984 MERCEDES 300SD TURBO DIESEL WITH ONLY 154,611 MILES HISTORY- I have owned this car for about 1 year, the guy that I bought it from had shipped it in from Tempe, Arizona (4/19/00). He rarely drove the car, in fact he hadn't even switched the title/registration until I purchased it. I have the original reciept from Cafe Motors in Arizona with vin # and milage certificate. BODY- The body of this car is remarkable for its age. It only has a couple small surface rust spots (one by the sunroof and some under the drivers headlight) These spots are pictured. The paint has some scratches,chips and a couple of spots where the clear coat is pealing. It still looks goods, just want you to know what your bidding on. The under carriage still has the original under coating and appears to be rust free. This car is SOLID, and spent the major part of its life out west. INTERIOR- It has grey leather seats without any rips/tears. The original floor mats need to be cleaned, but the carpet looks GREAT. The dash pad has a couple of cracks and the wood trim has been glued back on. I have the two pieces of wood trim that go above the glove compartment (just need glued back on). I dont have the piece for the ash tray. There is a sony cd player with remote installed. Both power front seats work, power locks work, power windows (front passenger side doesnt work), sun roof works. The drivers side lock dosn't work, key goes in won't turn, I have a new actuator for this door and it will be included (unsure if that is the problem). DRIVETRAIN- The motor runs well, starts right up and sounds good. The trans shifts nice up/down and solid. This car cruises at 70 mph nice and smooth it gets around 30 mpg and I would feel fine about driving it across the country. WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE(WITHIN THE LAST 500 MILES- Oil/filter change, original braided fuel lines replaced, diesel filters, trans fluid/filter, battery, AC compressor,dryer and a couple of other conversion parts to r134. I broke the belt tension bolt while tightening the belt, so the ac belt was never put on or system charged. I am including the ac belt and also a new gasket/filter for the trans for the next service(sent to me by mistake). I have tried to describe this car as best as possible.
