Vehicle Detail
You are looking at the real thing not a clone, factory black white stripe RS Z28 with that said lets get to it. This is a 1971 RS Z28 Camaro. It is in very good shape, and a very sharp car. Paint code is 19 "black" I dont know what color could be better It is a Z28-11 and that means Z28 with stripes, in this case white stripes It is a 785 interior code "deluxe" Now let talk about the car.It was painted over ten years ago, base coat clear. The stripes were cleared over. At that time it had one door and both quarters replaced. The door was a used GM and the quarters were new GM. All other panels are original from what I was told. The paint still looks very good and deep. The floors and trunk are in supurb shape and look to be original. The nose and grille are original GM no aftermarket parts at all. The interiorAs you can see the interior is new, new seats, carpet, door panels, headliner, dash pad and bezel. The door panels are not the original deluxe, they do not reproduce them. I have the original deluxe door panels that will go with the car. They can be sent to Just Dashes or someone like them the be repaired and rebuilt. I have the original drivers side regulator for the deluxe interior(they are different) the passenger side still has the longer deluxe style in it(I couldn't find a standard one when replacing the panels). The dash bezel is also not reproduced with the correct woodgrain so I put the standard bezel. All the gauges work properly, it has the correct tach. The rear plastic around the seats is in great shape not dried and brittle. The engineIt is a new GM crate engine, it's called a 350 HO Deluxe. It has 330 hp and 380 torque. It came complete with carburator to oil pan, distributor to balancer. It runs very well and only has about 500 miles on it. The wheelsThey are 17x8 and 17x7 Rockets with B.F.Goodrich g-force 275-40 and 225-40 they may have 100 miles on them. They look very good with the car lowered, Hotchkis front springs and rear blocks. The exhaustIt has a flowmaster system with a transverse mounted muffler. It sounds great and has a good rumble. The transmissionIt has a 1979 Borg Warner super T-10 from a Trans Am. It works just as it should. It has a new GM flywheel and new clutch assy. The car was a 400 turbo car originaly. The radioIt has a cd player in it now and it sounds great. I didn't put it in but I have the original AM/FM radio that goes with the car and it still has the correct knobs on it. I also have a uncut GM lower dash that will go with the car if you want put the correct radio back in. Over all this is a very nice car that you can drive, and remember REAL RS Z28 FACTORY BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPES Please have your money before auction is over. On May-17-10 at 06:18:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I noticed in the interior pictures that the seat and carpet looks faded to a purple color. I assure you they are not purple or faded. the carpet and seats are jet black. Thanks
