Vehicle Detail

1964 IMPALA ALL ORIGINAL NO RUST *NICE* ORIG MILES. Unmolested 4 door coupe (no post), 283 engine with 2 speed powerglide. Starts, runs and shiftsdrives and stops excellently. Factory A/C (needs to be recharged) and power steering. The vehicle was owned by one family since new in CA and was supposedly garaged most of its life. The odometer shows 94xxx miles, which I believe to be correct. The car is very well maintained, oil and transmission fluids were just changed and the chassis and other grease points show plenty of grease. The only thing different from the original are the dual exhaust (sounds very nice) and the aftermarket rims and new tires. I still do have the original rims and tires, which are also good. Paint is fading in some spots, but it is still a 20 footer. No visible or major body damage, no rust, only surface rust on the trunk floor, a couple of trim pieces are not original. Original California black plate car. The glass is perfect. The chrome is good. The inerior: The headliner is great, everything is there (ash tray, original radio, which only lights up but does not produce any sound, cigarette lighter, etc), seat upholstery is good, the front seat (back) is coming apart at the seams, the rear seats are good except for the very top. The master brake cylinder is new, as are the top and bottom radiator hoses. I have some other receipts (new shocks, rebuilt carb, etc) from the past few years showing that the car was always maintained. Original owners manual is also there. I disconnected the heater core, because I found it to be leaking. A new one can be purchased on ebay for roughly $60. Please do not forget that this classic is 40+ years old, so please do not expect a flawless vehicle. No bidders with zero feedback please. Please do not waste my time. The car is super solid with no rust. Runs and drives as it should. Enjoy!
