Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a complete, all original, unmolested 1931 Ford model A Pick Up Truck. This truck has been stored in my Grandfathers garage for the last 25+ years and has not seen the light of day. Before that it was in a barn for who knows how many years before that, so this truck has been out of the weather for a long time, and it shows. The truck is 100% original except for the wheels, which im told a few of them are off a later model (34-35ish) era vehicle. The truck does not run, but the motor is free. There is a small rust through spot on the back of the cab, and some rot in a lower front panel below the radiator, all of which are visible on the pictures. Also it is missing the air cleaner and the spare tire holder sheetmetal is roted out, but a new one of those goes with the truck. Other than that, everything is in really good restorable condition. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or request additional pictures. I am willing to work with a buyer that needs the truck delivered to a local freight terminal for an additional fee that we can work out at the time of sale. Thank you for your interest. On May-16-10 at 09:13:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello everyone. Since listing this auction i have received a lot of great questions about this truck, so i wanted to revise the listing to add all of the new information so that everyone could benefit from it. I received several questions concerning the glass and interior, which i didn't describe enough in the original listing. The back window is cracked, but appears to be just flat glass with no markings. There is no glass in the drivers side door, and the glass in the passengers side door is also cracked, but again they don't appear to have anty markings on them. The windshield is not cracked or broken, and the frame actually tilts out, and all that mechanism works and is visable in the tilted out position in some of the pictures. The seat isn't in really great shape as it has several holes and you can see the springs and filler material (looks like horse hair or something) in alot of spots as the fabric has just dry rotted away over the years, but it is all there. Lasltly, the one inside bed picture looks like an inner fenderwell sticking up on the one side, that is actually the new spare tire pan that i mentioned goes with the truck to replace the original one that is rusted out. On behalf of my grandmother and myself, we thank you all for your interest and please feel free to ask for any additional pictures and or questions as i am certainly no expert in listing antique automobiles for sale. Thanks again!
