GORGEOUS 1973 MATCHING # CHEVROLET CORVETTE WITH ONLY 98,200 ORIGINAL MILES LOADED WITH FACTORY AIR AND POWER WINDOWS! NO RESERVE!! BID TO WIN!! First of all let me repeat, this is a NO RESERVE auction so there is no need to ask me what the reserve is because I have decided that I will let the market determine the price on this absolutely beautiful matching # 1973 Corvette. I rarely do trades for any of the classic and muscle cars I sell but recently I had a 1968 Camaro for sale and a local gentleman called me to see if I would consider trading for his Corvette. He had bought the Vette from the family that owned it since it was new and he had it for the past 5 years. He had two young kids and decided he wanted a car that everyone could enjoy driving in together. I told him to come look at the Camaro and bring the Corvette for me to look at. His Vette was beautiful and we worked out a trade and so here it is. When he had purchased the car 5 years ago the original paint was showing signs of age but the body was beautiful and had never been hit. In addition the car only had 97,500 original miles on the original motor and drivetrain. Over the five years he owned it he only put about 700 miles on the car enjoying it on weekend drives and to local shows and cruise ins. I have 3 kids and several other cars so I knew when I traded him I would be putting the car up for sale. I will do my best to honestly describe this awesome '73 Vette and I am confident that the next owner will be extremely pleased with it. I will provide as many pics as possible along with a video to help show the cars true condition. Sit back, enjoy, and remember...NO RESERVE!! The body on this beautiful Vette was stripped down by hand and revealed a no hit body! It was professionally painted 5 years ago in the original color of Medium Blue and the paint job is fantastic! The only flaws I could find was a small crack at the very front of the nose of the bumper and maybe one or two very tiny nicks in the paint from rocks. The body panels align great and the panels are extremely smooth and straight. As you probably know the '73 model was a one year model with the chrome rear bumper and rubber front bumper. The chrome rear bumper looks excellent. T-tops are in great shape and previous owner told me he did not notice any leaks but he never drove the car in the rain. I am far from an expert on Corvettes but I do nknow that people will ask about rust around the pillars and bird cage. I do not see any rust in any of these areas. The car spent most of its life in the Atlanta, Georgia area so it was not exposed to snow and salt. Overall I am extremely impressed by the body and paint of this car and I think you would be too. You will also see that the undercarriage is also extremely clean and solid with o rust issues or signs of previous rust issues or repairs. The dark blue interior is also mostly all original and overall in excellent condition. The drivers seat does have a split at the seam on the bottom that could be easily repaired and if the winning biidder wants I will have it done locally by an expert interior guy I have used and would only charge what he charges and I am sure it would be nominal. The dash pad looks excellent with no cracks and the door panels also look great. I think the previous owner told me the drivers door panel was replaced and he also replaced the carpet with NOS navy blue carpet. Very nice navy blue Corvette mats were also added. There is a crack in the section of the console where the power window switches are located but this can also be replaced inexpensively if desired. Power windows work nicely however the passenger side is a little slow. All of the gauges appear to be working except for the tach and oil pressure gauge which I have not looked into. Previous owner did a compression check and had excellent compression at all cylinders. With a little TLC the interior would look great. I am absolutely positive that this is the original 350 motor! In fact I scraped the paint off the pad on the front passenger side of the engine to make sure. As you probably know this pad with the numbers is located in such a tough spot i could not get a good picture of it but the #'s are as follows: S407217 and then V1J0CLA. As you can see the 6 digits match the last 6 of the VIN # and the CLA is for a 350/190hp Automatic. So this is definitley a matching # motor and it was not restamped or tampered with. The 350 runs very strong and the automtaic transmission shifts strong and smooth. The previous owner decided to put the finned valve covers from the higher horsepower 350 cars but I do have the original valve covers that will go with the car. Power steering and Power brakes work great an this is one easy car to cruise in. the previous owner had just recently changed the oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, tranny filter, spark plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter, windshield wipers and valve seals. It has an optima battery. the headlights do work but sometimes need a little touch to be helped go up. They go down without any assistance. The factory A/C works and blows fairly cold although I have not really driven the car much since I just recently got it. I have driven it enough to tell you that this car is strong and sounds great and tracks down the road nicely. Previous owner also went through the brakes and they work very well. He also replaced the exhaust with stock sounding mufflers and all new pipes. You shold be able to get in this baby and drive it wherever you want! It is ready to show and go!!
