Vehicle Detail
1963 Light Blue Corvair Convertible in really nice shape. This car has the 102 Hp engine (Chevy Cross Flags emblem on engine lid) and the 4-speed on the floor manual transmission. This car came with the "Super Turbo Air" (not the Supercharger option). The light blue top was replaced in 1985 and is still excellent and easy to put up and down. The chrome is all in really good shape. The interior is black and the seats have no defects. Front seats are bucket seats. The carpeting is really good. The original AM radio still works. This car has been in my family since 1985. I have owned it the last 10 years and it has been in several parades. It has low miles partly due to the historical plate requirements. I have replaced the window felts. I had a Corvair mechanic go through the engine and transmission and both checked out excellent. Installed new engine seals and replaced the brakes, brake and clutch cables, shocks and regreased all wheel bearings. New tires installed after the pictures were taken. Comes with owners manual and Corvair service manuals. The imperfections of the car include: a single crack in driver side mirror glass (mirror frame & pedestal are good, see picture); does not have original Corvair jack, but does have a newer car jack that works; there are three pinholes in the rear passenger side of the top (but does not leak); missing the "I" on the hood; there are a couple of paint chips mainly on the rear of the car (see white spots in picture) and one at fuel door (driver side front); and the cigarette lighter does not work.
