Vehicle Detail
1991 Brougham - Parts or Restoration RE-LISTED As a Cadillac lover, I purchased this car a few weeks ago thinking I would put some money into it, but I have decided that it is not quite what I'm looking for, and I am looking to sell it quickly to purchase a similar Cadillac. *I have not registered this car, but I do have the title and necessary documentation.* I just had my mechanic give it the once-over. The engine and front end are in good shape. The exhaust will need to be replaced. My mechanic said the recent exhaust replacement is not the appropriate part. There rear shocks will need to be replaced; there is a noticeable wobble from the back end. Also, a piece of sheet metal would need to be welded uderneath the driver's seat floor. Occasionally, the digital dash flashes different numbers, but all other power features work properly, and the dashboard always returns to its proper numbers. The Good The four tires all have significant tread. Three have whitewalls. The 5.0 litre engine starts right up and the transmission shifts well. I'm amazed at how smooth the car idles. The car has 124,000 miles. It has the extra emblems around the front door locks, and is an attractive maroon color. The car has its original hubcaps and mud flaps, as well as the floor mats, which could use a good cleaning. The Bad The Cadillac is from New Hampshire and has rust. The biggest problem is that there is a section (approximately 3'x3') under the floor of the driver’s section, (shown in picture), that needs to be cut out and redone with new sheet metal due to rot. You would have to do this soon to put the car on the road. Also, there are the usual surface bubbles on the doors, and on one door, there is a hole above the trim (see picture). Personally, I would want the whole car repainted. It's bizarre, because certain problem areas such as the rear bumper are perfect. The vinyl top needs replacing. The anti-lock brake light is on. The back of the steering wheel is missing a piece of plastic. (Picture) One of the plastic tail lights is cracked, but in tact. Also, there is a chip missing from the passenger side front corner light. Both are fully functional though. The headliner is pinned up, and the leather and carpeting are not in great shape. This car could be driven daily with a few repairs, but I'm looking for a potential classic. If you are in the area, please feel free to contact me to see the car. EMAIL is the fastest way for me to respond. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF SHIPPING. THERE IS NO WARRANTY.
