Vehicle Detail
I found this Giulietta at a Autobody shop. It had been sitting under a tarp for over 25rs. Last registered in the 70's. I was amazed how complete it was, till had all the jewelry it come with. I started the restoration in 2001 and finished in 2002. Removed everything down to the frame doors windshield etc. Sent all the chrome out to be redone ( some of the most beautiful chrome you'll ever see). Went through the car doing everything fresh. Brakes are all new-wheel cyl. shoes and master cyl. New Koni vintage shock, performance springs and suspension limiter straps and cables. New Stebro stainless steel exhaust system looks great and sounds awesome. New seat foam and covers also one of the best looking convertible tops you'll see, fit is amazing and bow rips are perfect. The real score is the brand new windshield. I have the original but it has wiper scratches in it, makes a good spare. Frame is solid no rust and it shows in the pic.s of the jack points, they are perfect! I installed a very cool CD player mounts under the dash in the center when its turned off the face flips around and it looks like a heater box. Nothing has been butchered on this car I have taken great care to not up grade anything that cant be unbolted with no sign of damage. Also has a bosch electronic ign. ( I have the old distributor) the car is 12v negative ground. This is a complete car with all it was born with ( I even have the original AM radio, although it would need to be restored. Currently running a Webber Carb. but have the correct air filter housing etc. Wiper motor and linkage has been freshened up also. The engine is a 1300 101 normal and was rebuilt by me 10,000 miles ago. Trans. is a 5 speed that I put in with a new clutch etc. I have the original 4 speed. Both tranny's sound fine but have tired 2nd gear sycro's. It doesn't bother me I double clutch all the time, just needed to mention it. These pic's speak for them selves, I have a Auto Repair shop here in Kirkland and have had many Alfa's spiders over the years ( '59, '62' and '65 ) this is the most complete and beautiful one I have ever had. I sent to the Alfa archives in Italy and requested info. on production on this car it came off the line on March 24th 1960. Hope it finds a good home, it deserves it. I put the 10,000 mile it has on it since I restored it myself. Driving through the Mountains and Islands here in Washington State are wonderful memories. If it doesn't sell I will almost be just as happy. On May-11-10 at 12:18:26 PDT, seller added the following information:I was in a hurry to get the posting up and should have proof read the description better. It has a Weber on it not a Webber. Also the convertible bow ribs (not rip's) are perfect. There are no speaker holes in it anywhere, has custom speaker pod's on the corners of kick panels. Sounds great, but 2 screws and the are out. No signs of ever having been there. On May-13-10 at 12:06:08 PDT, seller added the following information: On the pic's of the underside I added, what appears to be surface rust is the spot light lighting that I used to take the pic's there is no rust. Let me know if more info. is needed. The description and all the pic's should give you a good feel of what shape this car is in. Thanks for your interest. Jeri On May-13-10 at 16:38:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a matching white, very rare hard top for this car. Rear window is glass and is in perfect condition. Can email pic's of the top mounted on the car.
