Vehicle Detail

This is an auction for a 1987 5.0 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. I bought this car from a Georgia car dealership and had it transported to Nebraska. This car is all original but as you can see it needs a little help. This car starts great and I was told the transmission was rebuilt before I bought it. The car sat in the hot Georgia sun, thats why the original clearcoat is coming off and the dash is cracked. I have the original radio but took it out to get fixed and have not but it back in yet. This car will need all new door and T-Top seals. The previous owner tried to take the rear window tint off and pulled a little of the rear window defogger off. The interior is complete but is a little sunfaded. Everything seems to work well on the car, even the A/C worked but may need a recharge. The body is in really good condition, really no dents and only a little surface rust on the bottom of the doors. There is one spot on each side by the quarter glass on the body that needs attention. TheT-Tops are the original locking T-Tops with the original bags for them. The door jambs appear to be really solid. I had the car aligned and all suspension parts checked out. The car has a little sag under acceleration but I think that is due to my lack of driving it. It is a good project car that I wanted to restore but my children are at the age of ball games and summer fun, and I don't have the time to put into it. The Goodrich tires are practically new but are bigger than original, so they rub ever so slightly if you take a fast corner. The listing may say a 4.3 liter, but it is the true 5.0 in the car. It does not smoke at all. I would believe the mileage correct but no way to prove it. I have kept this car inside a garage since I bought it in january of 2007. Please understand this is a pretty solid car that needs to be restored. I also have an extra set of Monte Carlo rims and wheels that go with the car. I have a clear Nebraska title in hand. I would like 500.00 immediate payment, then we can work out the rest of the payment. PLEASE email me for any questions or more pictures. I have great feedback that I am proud of and want to keep it that way. I just want this transaction to go smooth and the car go to a good home. Storage is not a problem to hold the car and will help to get transported any way I can.
